Golden Singar Hotel

Worst experience ever as a foreigner.... They chased us out just for doing nothing. Worst place to recommend to others. Please don't come.

This hotel is very near to Periyar Statue and the rooms require more cleanliness as it looks as though it was ages since some body stayed there. There is no complimentary breakfast and the room service is satisfactory. The reception was quick. It has now become customary for hotels in tamilnadu even in ac rooms only giving ro treated water and no mineral water bottle.

*It was one of the oldest Hotel in Karaikudi. *Nice place to stay. *There are 3 floors and elevator (lift) facility is available. *There are A/c and non A/c 2 bed and 3 ned rooms are available. *The Television is available in both A/c and non A/c rooms. *For drinking water, in each floor they palce a water can at the centre we have to fill it in our jug which is available in the room. * For bathing hot water is available. Free wifi facility is not available. *If we need extra bed they provide that. *HOW TO REACH : Close to the Karaikudi bus stand and around 10 minutes from the Karaikudi railway station *ENTRY FEE : Will cost you are 1K for one day in a AC Deluxe room. *AMENITIES : lift and books available in reception. Floor was a little dusty and water in the dispenser had some dirt floating in the can. #@Gavutham

Good and Neat rooms. The AC is old one. Bed is not comfortable. The restaurant next building is very good with traditional Chettinad foods. Staffs in hotel and restaurant not so helpful. Overall 4/5. Good locality.

The location is easily accessible by road or rail and rooms are spacious, there is a need of indoor painting as the walls have spots of aging. Economical and the disappointment is they have not offered complimentary breakfast.

Bed sheets were old and torn. Had a tough time getting the AC working. Had to shift multiple rooms. Hotel Internet works in their lobby.

Great location on 100' road, easy access to both rail and bus stations, shopping and site seeing in all 4 directions of Karaikudi |Comfortable rooms, with each a/c bed costing about 500-700 Indian Rupees, with 24 hours format. Booking still done in person for guests on advance through a local and down payment.
