Good stay in the heritage village. Friendly staff and well maintained rooms. However the food price are too high and you won't get much options. Suggest to plan your dinner and lunch outside to safe your packet. Complementary breakfast is good. Suitable for a day stay.

The room we stayed in was Ashtalakshmi, very clean and neat. Toilets were adequate. The other facilities were in their heritage wing, like pool and meals. Which was a 10 minute leisurely walk away. Option if buggy was available. Food was tasty. Good staff.

Facts: 1. Chettinad Court and Chettinad Mansion belong to the same owner, so whatever pictures they have on the internet combine both hotels' pictures. 2. Chettinad Court and Chettinad Mansion are 3 streets away, with a 10-minute walking distance. 3. Chettinad Court is just a building with a bunch of rooms and a lawn, whereas Chettinad Mansion is an old heritage mansion. Pros: 1. The rooms in Chettinad Court were very clean. 2. They provided towels and toiletries. Cons: 1. The restaurant is not available on the premises of Chettinad Court. To have breakfast, lunch, snacks, or dinner, one has to walk three streets away to Chettinad Mansion. 2. The swimming pool is not available on the premises of either Chettinad Mansion or Chettinad Court. Anyone has to walk 5 streets away to use the swimming pool on a different premises. 3. Even evening coffee/tea was not possible in Chettinad Court. 4. The staff did not provide great service. Even the manager in the Chettinad mansion shouted at an employee in front of the guests. 5. They claim to have a buggy to transport people between Chettinad Mansion and Chettinad Court, but they don't provide that service. 6. No car parking in either the Chettinad Mansion or the Chettinad Court. 7. Breakfast for additional person was charged at Rs.500, and it is not worth it. 8. A la carte menu is too costly.

Enjoyed a small holiday here for two days. It was an enjoyable experience. Staff where friendly. Food was from Chettinadu mansion which is a bit pricey but good food even though options where less. Walkable distance from kanadukathan bus stop and we will be able to cover kanadukuthan on foot itself. We can make use of their buggy to go to chettinad mansion for food.Overall nice experience.

First let me start with the positives. Very clean and fluffy towels, very helpful staff and the ac works. We'll that's about it! My room SanthanaLaxmi has a resident lizard, that makes it presence known on multiple occassiins during thevday. It's possibly trapped inside the faux bamboo mat affixed to the ceiling. The toilet had a funny smell. I got an attendant to throw away a fungus laden plate. The mattress was softish and sagged. It's definitely not the kind one would get paying this kind of tariff. The TV was smaller than a desktop monitor. The 'hotel' has no restaurant and one has to go to a sister concern housed in an upmarket mansion for all meals. Breakfast on both mornings were plain and not worth mentioning. One pre-ordered lunch of Chicken Biriyani was rather undercooked. The furniture is made of cheap bamboo and or poor quality wood. The property primarily caters to budget-conscious foreigners as the paid bullock cart ride is prominently displayed in the room. The property itself is situated away from the area where the heritage properties are located. So the tag "Heritage View" is an absolute misnomer. One sees hundreds of school childens, dozen of cows, in an unkempt and generally poorer end of the 'heritage 'Village. Overall, I would advice everyone to remeber the phrase caveat emporium!

Absolutely useless. My luggage is dripping wet from AC leakages like a waterfall in the room, which has become a swimming pool. They are doing nothing for damage control and even blaming me for putting my luggage bags on a table directly below the AC!

Overall property is good with good connectivity to the heritage village, very quite place..However food options and taste should be improved to ensure people have a very good memory of the overall experience

The staffs were very friendly and kind helped us alot but the room mainly the bathroom and pool doesn't live up to the cost . And food is overrated
