Nachi Residency

Stayed in Nachi residency for two nights. On reaching the place, we were received with warm welcome. We had an excellent stay. Best hospitality by the Owner Mr. Sathappan and caretaker Mr. Praveen. Convenient room, but not very posh like in Star hotels, however, it's quite comfortable. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner on request basis. They serve both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The quality and taste of food were very good. I strongly recommend this home stay for families.

Really nice place with a very welcoming staff body. They are very helpful. The rooms are really spacious and most importantly spotless. It was with great delight to witness that this establishment keeps our ancestral Tamil traditions and values alive be it in its food, the support of its staff, architacture. The owner of this establishment himself welcomes you as if you were his guest and not his customer. Nachi residency is not a remarkable place, but rather a remarkable experience.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The food provided was amazing. Hospitality par excellence. The rooms could have been more clean, as we found a lot of dust on bed posts and inside almirahs. On the whole, we enjoyed the stay.

As a Tour Consultant, Have been to many places. Two weeks back took 22 people on a Heritage Tour of Karaikudi and Chettinad. The Focus was on the Mansions and Local Cuisine. I was totally amazed and more than satisfied with the taste and variety offered at Nachi Residency. We had Food for 2 days i.e 6 times. I was totally surprised that none of the items got repeated again. Every time we were served a new item. Mr.Sathapan, owner of the Place is very friendly and accommodativ and took care of all our needs. At certain times, he went out of his way and ensured that we get what we required. I would say this is one of the Best Home Stay / Service Apartment in Karaikudi...

It's a beautiful guesthouse. Rooms are traditional and comfortable with athangudi tiles . Each tile is handmade. They serve tasty traditional south indian breakfast too. Very hospitable. Home-like atmosphere. Happy with the experience so far.

We were a group of people stayed in Nachi Residency on December 24th 2016. We had gathered after 29 years , on the eve of our school reunion function .... I had booked the place well in advance during November 2016. Mr Sathappan, Manager of Nachi Residency had assured us of all comforts, both accommodation and Chettinad food. ||||On 24th December, we occupied two apartments in the third level and one apartment in second level. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All rooms were air conditioned and AC were working fine. All rooms, beds and toilets were perfectly maintained and kept clean. ||||Every apartment had Oonjal, which is a "swing" type of seating fitted at the center of apartment space. Loved them and remembered our past culture. ||On 24th evening they provided us Air conditioned conference hall on the top floor as complimentary service. We gathered there and discussed our past memories. ||||Our food started from breakfast on 24th December and continued through next day. We had specialty Chettinadu items like Kavuni Arisi , Vellai Paniyaram , Paal Paniyaaram on 24th Breakfast . Then had china Urulai masala (small potato masala), Pattani Rice (green peas rice) , Milagu Kulambu ( pepper gravy ) , Vaazhaipoo Vadai , and Specialty Coconut pudding on 24th Lunch . then had Idiyappam, Aappam and Mushroom pepper fry on 24th Dinner ... On 25th morning breakfast we had Kandaraappam , and masala cheeyam etc .. Over all it was a foodie's delight. ||||For 24th morning breakfast they charged Rs 200 per head. for specialty Lunch on 24th, they charged Rs 500 per head. For Dinner, they charged Rs 400 per head. For 25th morning breakfast they charged Rs 250 per head. ||||Overall it was a very nice experience for us. I will say it's a wonderful place. Book in advance, if you want to have individual stay or group event. I have attached photos here

It was pleasant stay of four days in Nachi Residency. Very cordial staff always serving with smile. We like the cleanliness of the apartment. We liked the food very much, especially the lunch.We traveled for family get together from Singapore.

I paid for a studio apartment like accommodation but was given a simple room with 2 single beds about 3 kms away from the hotel. The owner explained to me that he had a 24 member group that he had to accommodate in the hotel and hence the change. He served excellent lunch and dinner at the hotel which kind of made up for my disappointment somewhat.
