THIRAVIAM TOURIST HOME

Pros: Good place for a short trip stay in the city centre with nearby tourist places (we stayed over there for two nights, early check-in at 8/8:15 am and check out at 8/8:30 am). Clean and tidy rooms with good services. Cons: No outside ventilation or view as it's road side faced, with no balcony or any views. Only if we step out can we enjoy nature or at their open terrace. We normally would prefer to book Directly through contacting hoteliers , hence they get full payments. I contacted them and booked directly mentioning that we were three 2 adults+ 1 kid and they mentioned total charges which were higher by Rs 500/-, i was fine as did requested them for early check-in as not to take risk with Kid being train to reach by Morning, wherein check-in allowed only by 12 am. But while vacating they mentioned the bill will be charged by an additional Rs 300/- against the breakfast for child, not sure I was clear on my communication while booking, they haven't mentioned it earlier. I did vacate basis 24 hrs timing based on the check-in, hence they not been missing guests as been Sunday which I did mentioned during check-in, also a day before checkout and also once on checkout date. Only on the last day when I asked mentioned about the check out and bill, mentioned it. The hotelier should have pr ok but properly communicated in advance and would have booked online and Saved Rs 800/- In breakfast while we requested milk for kids, they simply mentioned only tea is provided. Then we mentioned that we were ready to pay for it, for which they awaited for instructions from their Manager/Care taker, this was frustrated where kid itself mentioned no need of milk and to cancel it. Thanks to Mr Mani (Manager/Care taker) over there who assisted for Auto,cab arrangements and places to visit. Fine anyways, the stay was good.

I had a stay with my family here in Thiraviam Tourist home during year end of 2024. We booked 4 rooms by paying additional 1000 for extra bed. These are my feedback for the people planning to staying here: Pros: 1. Location is walkable to beach. Around 500m walkable to Sunset & Sunrise locations. 2. Rooms are clean Cons: 1. Rooms are very very small and congested. Even though we paid for extra bed, There is no space for keeping that bed. 2. Hot water is not available in the morning. Seems like, they are using solar, so hot water is available in the evening. We followed multiple times with them to get hot water in the morning for kids. 3. There is no restaurant inside Thiraviam Tourist home, Hence Breakfast is very limited and seems like they have arranged from other hotel. Also We noticed that some breakfast dishes they were hiding it from us, which felt like terrible hospitality.

Calm and quiet place to stay.Its a value for money hotel. It's more like a guest house than a hotel. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. The furniture inside is tastefully done. Approx 100 mtrs from the main road and 800 mtrs from the sea beach and major attractions and just a km from the railway station. The only negative is that the showers do not have hot water supply else a value for money deal.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thiraviam Tourist Home in Kanyakumari, and I must say it was a truly memorable experience. The hotel is very well-maintained, offering a clean and comfortable environment. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a relaxing stay. One of the highlights of this hotel is its proximity to the beach. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kanyakumari. Whether you're here for a short stay or a longer vacation, it offers excellent value and a fantastic location near the beach.

It's a a very good place to stay if you are in Kanyakumari. Located very close to the beach and other tourist attractions. Rooms are huge and decently price. Full marks for cleanliness. But their biggest strength is their staff - very warm and welcoming, they make you feel comfortable, which is very important for someone like me coming from a different region and not knowing the local language. They have open parking in front of the hotel. Entrance is not wheelchair accessible as it has couple of stairs.

The room was very neat and clean. I got good service. It is a 500 meter walk to the beach. But the car parking area is very small. thank you

Parking was a real pain, you know, with those huge cars and all that construction. It's super tight, only room for maybe 5 or 6 cars at once.

Awesome rooms in very reasonable price. It's walkable distance from most of the sight-seeing points. Peaceful atmosphere. Absolutely loved staying here.
