The Gopinivas Grand

The best positives is the location and the complimentary breakfast. All attractions are walkable and is also surrounded by many eateries including dhabas. The complimentary breakfast had Aloo paratha, Upma, Idly, Crispy Vadai, Sambar, Chutney, Curd, Cofee, Tea and Watermelon. Coming to the room, it needs great improvement. We stayed in 4 Bed superior AC room. It had 2 double beds and the mattress was great. The following items need more attention 1) The TV antenna: the connection to set top box was very loose and flickering. Mentioned to team during checkout 2) The furniture in the room had the laminations coming out 3) The fan regulator liked me so much that it came out when I touched it 4) The bathroom towels (2 of 4) were much hard compared to other 5) The bathroom light was so dim that it was difficult for elderly 6) The closet flap was very loose and it came out when closed 7) The rocket shower holder was broken and it was lying down. Not sure about other rooms, but room 606 needs drastic improvement. Informed management too and they informed maintenance will be done.

The initial rooms that we got were absolutely terrible. It was run down, bathroom was tiny with toilet behind the shower curtain, bathroom door was in bad condition - overall looked like it was never updated for years. The windows were two small ones on the side with a huge wall in the center. These rooms were on the fourth floor. They did have better rooms, so it just makes you wonder why you were given such rooms at all. My friends had to switch rooms again as the mattress in the new room had a huge dip in the middle. So overall we were not happy with our stay here. Cleanliness was also not great. FYI - they do not have any ocean facing rooms and we did not get WiFi when in the room. We could connect when we went to the restaurant. Food was average. Location is good, walking distance to the Vivekananda memorial, temple etc. lots of shopping all around. The management needs to put in some effort to keep up the place.

I recently spent 2 nights at The Gopinivash Grand, Kanyakumari and had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was great - very close to the market and tourist spots. The room was clean, airy and fully equipped - AC, kettle, toiletries, everything was available. The beds were soft and the room was cleaned every day. What I liked most was the behavior of the hotel staff. Front office staff at the reception always greeted us with a smile. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth. The room service staff is also very polite and professional - once I asked for tea late at night, and it was served without any delay. The housekeeping Boy asked every day if I needed anything else - and replaced the towel and water bottle without any prompting. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and healthy - and the kitchen staff personally came to check if everything was okay. The whole team showed the true meaning of hospitality. I heartily recommend this hotel - if you want a warm and respectful staff experience along with clean rooms, then definitely try The Gopinivash Grand

Had a great stay at Gopinivas Grand in Kanyakumari. The location is perfect--just a short walk to the beach and nearby attractions. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was really polite and helpful. Definitely a good place to stay if you're visiting the area!

I had a wonderful experience at Gopinivas Grand. The food served was both healthy and delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the curry dosai--it was outstanding. The hotel was very hygienic, neat, and clean. The staff's approach towards customers was very friendly. I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone

The location was very good and had a dedicated car parking, The staff were good, courteous and very helpful. The room was comfortable in size for a family at the price but I think their wooden cabinets, beds and curtains need a complete clean up. The wood dust was constantly falling from cabinets, indicating termite infestation. The bed edges were dangerous. There were so many spiders in the curtains, at times crawling down to the bed. They need pest control and cleaning up on a priority to keep up their reputation

I recently booked a stay for 1 night at The Gopinivas Grand and it was the worst ever experience. I have never stayed or encounter such dirty and terrible hotel in my lifetime. The rooms were absolutely terrible upon arrival with dust everywhere, lingering odour and poor ventilation. The photos and descriptions given in Web doesn't even match 1% with what we encountered. I travelled with small children and old people in a group of 11 from abroad. The rooms were filthy. The bedsheets and towels, were smelly, torn, had stains and were dusty. Doors were broken. Dust everywhere in the room. My kids was sneezing the moment we entered the room. When my son sat on the bed immediately he developed rashes and itchiness and started crying. The worst was the bathroom. Public toilets will be much more acceptable . It's so dirty, fungus everywhere, toilet bowl was yellow and unhygienic No Toiletries provided , spider webs on the mirrors and bulk of dust at the bed sides and boards. With no option left we had to leave the immediately and scout around for better hotel. That took us many hours and we managed to get a decent hotel with cheaper price at night than what we paid for Gopinivas. We immediately checked out after that. Our whole day was gone. I would rate this hotel negative and I feel completely ripped off for the amount I paid . This should be called a lodge and not a 3 star hotel. This was the worst hotel that I have ever booked. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Don't be fooled by the photos and reviews!

I had a very worst experience in this hotel.Hotel management staff is not at all professional and they don't know how to behave customers. Also hotel ambience is very old and no proper maintenance and all of sudden water came into the hotel.Despite that they have charged me for few additional hours. They are just trying to take money with no service attitude.TV AC Fan even water tapes are not working as expected. Decide before you checkin to this hotel.Also rooms are not properly cleaned , the pillow covers they just turn it to the other side and all we're torn. Not at all hygenic for babies and the water droplets are sinking and dropping from the AC vents in the hotel restaurant. Very sad with spending such a money and not getting proper service.
