C Gate Residency

We stayed there with family on December 2015. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Furniture and other amenities in the room were also good. Staffs and manager were courteous. Hotel location is a bit remote from the Town and the Hotel doesn't have its own restaurant. A good restaurants or a decent shop is at least 3 kms away. Don't book this hotel if you don't have your own transportation. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The place is good if you just want to stay for a night or maybe 2 nights. Don't expect anything from the staff or management. The only good thing is that the rates are already fixed and you have to pay what is there in your app..No hassle there. They asked me for cash only payment though the app showed card payment. No Paytm as well. Pros: Bed was good. Enough lighting. Hot water. Cons: No pressure in bathroom shower. Glasses were not clean, there was coke in one of the glass maybe left by previous owner. Cupboard could not be locked. Staff not hospitable. Manager will be available only upon his convenience.

Stayed at this place last week. I booked via OYO but they've stopped accepting OYO bookings so once I reached there they denied checkin on OYO booking. Asked to pay in house prices if I wanted to stay, it was double than the OYO price. It was very sunny outside, was going to remain that way for 3 more hours and I was tired so I accepted. The reason Why I am deducting 3 stars - 1. Room was not very clean. Bathroom was leaking from the ceiling and basin was very dirty. 2. The mattress was upside down so I was constantly being poked by the springs. I flipped it myself. The sheets were not washed well IMO. There were no towels provided. 3. I asked to keep my packed water bottle for cooling. Someone took it and they gave me an open one as replacement. 4. Location is too far away, no shops or beach or tourist attractions nearby. (I was travelling on foot) Why I am giving 2 stars - AC was working fine, that was helpful.

Worst hotel ever seen in tie up with Make my trip.. No facilities. Hotel people are not good. Till now not Refunded my cancelation amount . Hotel blaming make my trip..make my trip blaming Hotel. Third class Hotel. Wrong things go on here.Does not deserve one star even.

This is a terrible hotel. The place is shabby. Lizards crawling in the room, bed bugs in the bed and bathrooms being dirty. The hotel does not have a lift. The hotel is outside Kanyakumari so each time you go inside, you end up paying 100/- entry. I booked for two days and checked out in 2 hrs. Luckily Make my trip helped to get the refund. The hotel staff lacks basic courtesy and the hotel does not even qualify for a lodge. Do not book it..unless you don't have a place to sleep.

The owner is very rude and provided no help with luggages. There is no lift in the hotel, and I had to carry the bags for 2 floors. The walls are made of cardboard, and feel like they might be blown away at any time. The bathrooms also need a lot of cleaning and maintenance.

Between Cgate/OVO/Hotels.com I can only report a shambolic experience I received from all concerned. ||||I booked/paid in advance through hotels.com, and on arriving at the hotel I was told they did not know who hotels.com were. On calling the support centre I was told they didn't send the booking across to the hotel and would have that escalated and sorted in 15 minutes. That never happened. ||||In that time the cgate hotel manager kindly offered me to pay for the room direct at a vastly over inflated rate. Only when I asked him to call for a taxi so I could leave KK and get back on the train before it left did he then offer to do me a favour and give me the room for 2k rs for the night. I was a bit trapped - take the room knowing it was all a bit suspect or depart without seeing an inch of KK. ||||Needless to say I couldn't pay with card or get a receipt. Hotels.com then changed their minds over email and stopped acknowledging they had made a mistake and were then telling me that the hotel itself was refusing to give me a refund.||||That aside, as others have said this hotel is not in a great location, not good if you are on foot like I was. It was also empty - no other guests. I had to ask for toilet paper and I spent most of the night killing flies that had got into the room. There are no facilities to eat and again the location means that just going out and getting something is not ideal. ||||I didn't have a great experience and I would not recommend anyone else stay in hotel and certainly don't prepay for the risk of being out of pocket. Luckily I paid on credit card and my bank refunded the money.

Place is little isolate and away from the main area. It appeared unsafe as well. The manager is very rude, behave in way as if he is doing a favor by letting guests stay here. This place is not friendly for senior citizens either. No lifts and steps are steep. If you get a room in 3rd floor you will have to drag your luggages all by yourself. The water here has a weird smell. The tap flow is controlled. Flush didn't work in our room, when complained the manager said he will take a look but couldn't fix it. There were cockroaches in the bathroom(check photo) . The towels were not cleaned either. So in short unprofessional, unhygienic, rude and not friendly to elders and kids. The only silver lining was the free breakfast which is bought from the local Punjabi dhaba.
