Sri Rama Lodge

We went to Kanchipuram on 30th December, 2024. We took this lodge as it is near to the bus stand. Good thing about the Hotel 1: it's having location advantage as it's only 400m from bus stand. 2: there are few restaurants nearby like Sarvana Bhavan and they have their own restaurant also. 3: 3 of the important temples of Kanchipuram is in walking distance from this hotel. 4: person at the reception understands hindi. So it's a plus point for hindi speakers. Bad thing about the Hotel 1: Rooms aren't clean. 2: Mattress and bed sheets aren't good in the bedroom. 3: Washroom doesn't have lock from inside. 4: big plastic drums used as dustbins just in front of the door. 5: doors can't be opened properly without applying force.

This lodge is very near to kanchipuram bus stand, but rooms were not upto the mark. Lift is there, but no cleanliness in the room and washroom, in case of urgency, or short stay like a night or few hours, one can go for it, if you can manage with dirty buckets, and choked washbasin and dirty sheets too.

Very Worst hotel we ever stayed in our lifetime. Rooms are very horrible and shabby. Locks for the room damagef. No lock for bathroom. No maintenance atoll. Moreover when my husband informed the staff about this for better maintenance they started using very very abusive language They never feel bad or interested to develop but blame us for everything they charged Rs. 700 for a non ac shabby dirty room. Actual room rent is Rs. 650 only but took Rs. 700 as advance and never returned back Rs. 50 . Staffs ate very very rude Don't ever book or stay in this room. ||Mythili Ramjee

We stayed there on 25th December 2023. Very worst experience. Rooms are very shabby. Doors lock are very much damaged. No lock for wash room. Wash room door only half closed. Not atall suitable for staying there. When we vacated the room on 26th Dec my husband told the reception people about this. But the staffs over there started using abusive words at him One person tried to kick him roo. Is this the way hotel people behave with the clients. Average cleanliness, best in pricing, limited variety but good food, no amenities, no toiletries. . . . Insightful customer focus, they seem to know customers very well which talks about why it has been there for 75years. It will rate low to average if you take individual aspects but somehow they have got the overall balance and fit right.

Lodge is located very near to the Bus stand and temples. Room rent is also reasonable. Room furniture also acceptable. But lack of room service dissatisfied upon us.I visited room at 1600 hrs on 01 Jan 2015. I booked room for three persons. But the Hotel staff initially refused accommodation for three persons. I informed that I will adjust in that room and ready to pay the extra person charge. I requested the staff to return my paid money so as to search for another lodge. Later they agreed and permit us. No House keeping is carried out even though they are having sufficient staff. Bed bugs are also there . I refused to pay tips to the staff for no service.

The worst Hotel ever I've seen If you have to stay for 1 or 2 Days that's ok but don't stay more than that because they don't clean the room and whenever you complaint about it they will say you can check out. They such rude you can't even imagine Staff is demanding money for room cleaning such a bad experience.

I booked it to attend a marriage. Ambience is good. Price is reasonable. 350 for single bed with AC. It has hotel attached. Coffee and snacks are good. Located near bus stand. Service can be improved. Food is ok.
