Hotel Shivan

The stay at the hotel is very good.. well maintained. However it would be great if they keep some freshers in bathroom and public areas.. overall nice hotel to stay with family.. easy access to restaurants and other locations.. Services person in the hotel are polite.. Best part is they have ample parking space as well.

Verry worst service and Respect is zero and theft will be there particular that lady she is verry worst. They don't know how to handle the guest.. she is will be continued my self not going further..only that lady otherwise two both man is soft how treated the guest. So good. My earpuds is missing in the room that cost arround 4k. That is not management issue that's gust issue. Their telling...very bad.

Had food in their restaurant, it was very tasty and in good quantity. Only choice in that locality for good food.

The food here is good if we compare nearby hotels. But this hotel is inside another building so there is no fresh air really. Whenever I go here, I'm always troubled by the stench that surrounds the air. Not such a great place to eat with parents and kids. The hand wash is the worst!

You don't expect a great hotel in a place such as Gingee, you settle for OK. Hotel Shivan fits the bill as long as you want a reasonable place to sleep. The hotel and the rooms are small and quite basic, but clean. The hotel is old but the maintenance is mostly good. Their are two restaurants in the same building: Rock Fort multicuisine and Annaporna. Both provide acceptable food at lunch and dinner times. There is a restaurant (Tamil name only) a few doors down where you can get a good Tamil breakfast, and there is an excellent tea stall next door to them! One advantage of this hotel is that it is set back from the road (with a security guard at the driveway). This insulates you from most of the road noise, but not the old air conditioner noise! The location of the hotel is excellent, being in the centre of Gingee. The best thing about this hotel is the wonderful assistance with arrangements by the Manager, Mr Gopinath, a very helpful gentlemen. As I mentioned, the hotel is old. As newer establishments are appearing, this hotel will need some serious investment in order to keep up. And the wi fi was not working when I was there.

Birthday cakes are awesome. Most of the flavors are available. This is the best shop in the town. Highly Recommended for quality and taste. Snacks like veg buffs, non-veg buffs, beverages like rose milk, badam milk, lychee, orange, grape juice, chocolates, biscuits, even wines for girls also available here. One negative point here is that they don't have space to sit and eat. Kids love their items.

Good Response, Near by to all localities, Opposite to Bus stand and hotels for food..Recommend to have a good stay during Gingee visit...We had a good stay and enjoyed the days in around Gingee

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. The location is good (in front of the bus station) and it is a secure place. The room and bathroom were clean enough, and had a basic but sufficient furniture for a short term. ||The staff were very kind, nevertheless they did not speak English and was difficult to communicate.||The WiFi did not work while I was there. In general, it is an acceptable place for Gingee as a small town.
