Pavan Vela Grand

*Beware of the cheap business tactics these people (Pavan Vela Grand alias PV Grand, Dindigul) play on their customers* . I have an event in Dindigul in the month of May and called this property few days back to find out the distance from my venue and the facilities. They seemed to be very welcoming at that point. I booked their property for 5 nights through Booking.com. This property was listed with these features - No payment at the time of booking. - all payments to be made at the property - no cancellation fee for cancellations made prior to 24 hours. I booked at PV Grand, Dindigul and got confirmation mail as well. Two days back I got a call from property asking if my travelling plans are confirmed. When I said yes, they asked me to make advance payment. I informed them that I have made my booking through Booking.com and bought to their notice about the booking policies that I was provided with at the time of booking. The person seemed to have agreed to my point and disconnected the call. To my surprise, I received a mail in few hours from the property saying that they have initiated a cancellation of my booking. When I contacted again, I was first told that since I didn't make any advance payment for the booking, they had cancelled it. When I once again reiterated about the booking policies, he disconnected the call saying he will contact me back. This time another person contacted me. They had various reasons as cited below for cancellations. - they got bulk booking and hence has to cancel mine. When I how could they accept another booking when there was an existing booking, they came up with - I haven't made any advance payment. When I again reminded them about booking policy cited on Booking.com - I was asked, if I decide to change my plan at the last moment, who will bear that expenses. At this time I had to tell them that they should have thought about this when they had decided to list their property in such platform. - further, the person has audacity to tell me that they are doing me a favour by informing / cancelling a month before to my booking so that I can plan accordingly. These people had no convincing reply. They cancelled my booking. This display the atrocious business etiquette and deceitful attitude of the people working there . People with such attitude should not list their property on social media platform and mentally harass their customers like this. Never have I come across such booking experience in my life.
