Raja Villa Courtallam

Really a good Lodge for economic travellers... It is clean and maintenance is good in this small township... Very near to the main waterfall... But there isn't a geyser... And to add to it... Water is really "COLD"

We a 18 members group reached Coutralam after the Pilgrimage to Sabarimala. All were tired after hectic travel. We had booked in Raja Villa 4 months before for a seamless stay. They were reminded for the stay thrice before we reached their place. Here follows the sad story. 1. We reached the place at 7 pm with 13 guys, 2 woman and 2 kids. No one from Raja Villa was there to receive us when we landed. 2. The room was opened by a guy who is living next to Raja Villa after 30 minutes 3. The condition of the room was pathetic. It was not cleaned, beds were full of dust, frogs were hopping and no buckets in bathroom. 4. When I called up the person in charge after seeing the condition of the room at 7.45 pm, he replied the attender wld come at 9pm and do the needful to us within no time. We all agreed to it and went for dinner. 5. An inexperienced attender came for set righting things, but unfortunately he took his own sweet time to clean the room. We all including ladied and kids were starnded in streets while cleaning. Even when the clock ticked 11 pm the attender was unable to complete the work and being tiresome customers we lost patience and tried finding an alternate. 6. The attender gave a suggestion to see the newly constructed rooms which were ok to stay in for few hours. Since we were all tired to the core and the cleaning was not over, we occupied those rooms. 7. The attender connected me with the propreitor of Raja Villa at 11 pm, where he was not in a position to listen our problems i.e., ladies and kids were in streets during midnight and without considering that fact he was continouosly repeating that the rooms will be cleaned and given. Really dont know whether he was in concious state or not. After all these happenings he was also demanding extra money if we occupy the newly constructed rooms without even having a basic consideration on our state. 8. As per our schedule, we left the place on the next day early morning. We wantedly did not pay the extra amount for the rooms demanded by the owner due to the mental agony given by him. 9. I received a message in Whatzapp from the incharge in thd afternoon. The message is as follows - "All the rooms were very dirty that you had occupied nd you have spoiled the cleanliness of the room. Also you guys have not even flush the toilets. That's okay. But I hope you all would have cleaned at least your ass. If not kindly let us know. We have acids here. " This message was very much inappropriate to us and this was the treatment given by Raja Villa staffs to us. We really felt bad for taking a wrong decision staying there. SO GUYS MY ONLY REQUEST IS TO NOT AT ALL OPT FOR RAJA VILLA IN COUTRALAM. IF U R DOING SO I AM SURE YOU WILL END UP IN FACING SUCH WORST SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE LIKE THAT HAD HAPPENED TO US.

Its better to stay one night. Low cost worth for money
