Alankar Resorts

First of all to call it a "resort" is a misnomer. It should be called "Alankar lodge". After having stayed in many resorts in Coutrallam, one has some expectations of any resort. Alankar "resort" was just a lodge and reminded me of staying in my ancestral house! Not in a good resort. I had booked a "2 bed room villa" which was supposed to have a balcony, terrace and a kitchen. The manager on phone told me that the cottage I booked had no power due to a mishap and I would be given a different cottage. What he failed to mention was that I would be given only a one bed room house. This I discovered after reaching there at around 1am. There was an attached Indian toilet which didn't have even a wash basin! The room wasn't even clean. We had to ask the watchman to clean the room. The sheets and towels provided were dirty. The room did not have an AC. There were two plug points but only one was working. And we needed to charge two phones. Our details were written down in a dog-eared notebook by the watchman. There was no printed receipt. Having given us a heavily downgraded room, they should have had the decency to charge us much less. But no. They collected the money payable for the "2 bed room villa"! I had to write the amount paid in the note book and sign. That's check out for you!

Resort feel is good but power cut time genset not available... Service is good... Little maintanance required... Some room beds insects there... Worth for money.. N moderate cost for season time...

Property is bit old. But it has a good living room and bedroom and the problem comes with the bathroom and they are very old and not maintained properly. Small insects and Ants are found inside the room. Location is Good

Stayed here as part of the Dinamalar Courtallam tour in 2007. It was great that time.

Nice ambience with a scenic view... Ambience nd service are worth up to the payee... In short a worthy nd a beautiful place to enjoy..

It's a good room for this budget.. And the room surrounded by full of trees.. You can see peacock near by your room in the morning

Apt place for replenishing ourselves admist of coconut and banana plantations with our families. But beware of the big mouthed mosquitoes

It's not comparable to a fancy resort, but considering the very limited options, you don't have much choice.
