THE HOTEL PARK

One of the worst services that could ever be seen. We paid 5000 for 4 members for just 3 hrs stay and were okay with the price. But the problem here is the service! Hectic response from the reception lady. AC wasn't working the whole time. They said they were looking into it, and no one gave a slightest concern about it. Over time, the reception lady started shouting at us, saying that she was busy and we were pestering her. We had paid for 2 extra beds. We asked for just one bed, for which she again started shouting that everyone was busy. We had actually booked for 3 hours, and how long else do they expect us to wait? Only a single star for the whole Service, since There was no negative option. Owner must be in a very bad state, having such irresponsible staff in here.

We, 2 persons, stayed in room no. 210 with tarriff of Rs 3800/- per night. booked it on 17.01.25 for 3 nights from 26.01.25 to 28.01.25. They took advance for 2 nights at the time of check in. Rooms are nicely built but lack some basic facilities, like : 1. No room service 2. They provide only 1 ltr drinking water per day, we have to get more water ourselves from RO facility there 3. No hot water in the bathroom 4. No bucket and mug in the bathroom. They provided only mug after our request but refused for bucket. 5. No mosquito repellent in the room 6. Water kettle was not working 7. Tv not working 8. wall clock not working , even after repaired twice 9. No hand wash in the bathroom 10. only provided 1 pair of bathroom slippers, we had to ask for the another pair 11. Bulb in front of the mirror not working till we checked out, even after reporting several times 12. Wifi not connecting, staff is not bothered about it. Room was stinking, when we checked in on 26.01.25, early morning. On reporting this issue, staff informed us that this is because room was closed for long time We booked this room well in advance but still they not prepared it for our check in About restaurant and food: 1. Don't expect buffet here, it's an alien concept for them 2. Restaurant manager was evasive most of the time 3. Only idli dosa available for b'fast. Pathetic Omllette available on chargeable basis. Fruit juice was available on chargeable basis. For dinner also they have only idli. 4. Only 1 helper (no waiter) was serving us with no knowledge of hospitality. 5. Poor hygiene 6. Flies were all around 7. As they informed us, b'fast timings are 08:30an-11:00am. On 29.01.25, we entered resturant for breakfast at 10:30. They delayed in serving food to us. Chutney finished when we asked for 2nd serving. After finishing our b'fast, when we asked for tea, the helper informed us that milk is finished. On our request and call to Mr. Joseph, they arranged it. I wonder what type of hotel and restaurant they are running without adequate supplies and support staff. About staff behaviour: 1. Receptionist is very rude. Most of the time she is not available on intercom. She starts shouting, when we complain about above mentioned facts 2. Security guard is very cooperative and humble person. He tried to solve our issues at his best 3. Punitha, the only house keeping person we met here during day time, is a polite lady and doing just her job. In short, one should not expect any hospitality related behaviour from the only one staff at front desk.She does not even know basic courtesies.It is too much to expect any thing. We felt cheated here We won't recommend this property to anyone even if in most urgent needs. Negative rating not available here so forced to give it 1 star. Advise to Hotel management: Please close down this property if you are not able to run it properly. Further you should visit some other hotel and learn the ethics and hospitality

Rooms are very nice but Service not good. No blankets, no bucket in bathroom, TV not working, NO HOT WATER. Rooms are very good

Best permit room with fools serving.... The management must think about it... No hospitality... They behave like... Customers are beggars.... Please change the attitude.... Mr Shivakumar your business is a gem to colachal people.... Kindly go through..... Best of luck

* Pleasant stay at the Pod||After many years we visited Chennai and we stayed at The Park Pod. At first I felt uneasy because we are used to staying in big hotels, but later things changed and I felt at home, the hotel was peaceful and warm and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It reminded me of my childhood days when Chennai was clam and noise free. The room was neat and clean and the breakfast was not huge but yet substantial. My family loved the place, definitely would love to stay at this hotel again.||||* Friendly staff and nice hotel||We arrived at Chennai for my visa, we booked ourselves at the Park Pod for two nights, we arrived at the hotel and were surprised to see the small hidden treasure, the hotel was quiet and clam just what we needed. The food at the restaurant was awesome the staff were so friendly that we ended up taking pictures with them. We will never forget this trip thank you all.||||||* Value for money||||Our friends recommended us to the pod , they said it was a great place to stay in and indeed it was , the room was spacious and they had all the basic necessities required like A/C , safe locker, room service etc and the rate we were offered was the worth every rupee. The breakfast was good. The pool was small not and what we would expect in a hotel. Over all we had a great time.||||* Great location, nice staff and great service||||This hotel could not be placed in a better place. Situated in the heart of the city near to the U S consulate made it easy for us. It took us just 10 minutes to the consulate, the staff was so helpful they organized a cab for us and also spoke to the driver and instructed him to take care of us. They offered to serve us the breakfast in the room the next day; they were so obliging it really felt like home. Will look forward to visit this hotel the next time around.

We were three in a room and the place was clean. I would say the space between the bed and TV unit was too small. Overall, a good place to stay. They did not have a credit card swiping machine, you would have to pay cash. Breakfast was not at all good, they need to work on it. They had dosa,idli and omlette.

Went there to have lunch. Pathetic hotel. Very limited food option and taste of food is bad. Service is too slow and it took 30+mins for them to give a lemon juice too It's better to avoid this hotel for dining!

Right from the frontend reception of Mr.Joseph and Bala to the room service offered by Mr. Sagaya Raj and the excellent food service offered by Ruth and Abinaya sister. Every thing was excellent. The rooms are extremely neat and clean. Overall I felt like staying at home. Whenever we enter everyone greets and enquires about the day. It was quite a good experience in PARK. I wish them success completely.
