The Orbis Hotel

Looks like an old hotel, the rooms are good but looks worn down. Although there were so many lights, the room had very dim lighting and was dull. The toilet was clean and there was hot water provision. Overall it is a good place for a day or two of business trips. I found the reception very inactive and twice my requests were forgotten. Had to go down to the reception to remind them.

We booked the hotel reading so many good reviews here however our experience was awful. The property looks old and is not well maintained. Room was dirty and smelly. The only pro was this hotel is near airport and the breakfast was good. However I wouldn't recommend this hotel as the room was not upto the mark especially when this hotel is a 3 star hotel.

Extremely happy with room condition. Rooms are very clean. I must appreciate the room service. Staffs are polite and helpful.They provide good quality of complementary breakfast. Also the Coimbatore Airport is only 10/12 minutes away from this hotel. This is my second time in this hotel and totally loved this

Only good thing about the hotel is parking and area locality. Other than that nothing good here. Especially all room has glass window bathroom even though you book for triple occupancy they wont inform you regarding this. When you ask about this they will tell you that you can opt for suite room which will be convenient after seeing that they will charge you for that. If you need to use bathroom in privacy you have to pay extra for that. And the suite room is not actually a suite room its just a room with some extra sqft no other facilities in that. Only you can have a drinage smell and the ac control unit in the corner of the room and modern ac vent which is not useful. They charge around 4200 for so called suite initially they started with 4500. So dont waste money here. Hereby i attach the photos. The round round design is the ac vent. Black color board in bathroom is the closed version of bathroom window and the small hole in shower area will give drinage smell.

Not happy with Maintenance. My room door was broken and fixed and could not lock dead bolt. The tap was not working.musquitoes inside room. Service was good. The guy in next room was coughing all night and was disturbing .

Worst hospitality they charge for everything even for water there's no clear communication regarding the room charges they will tell you something else and while check out they will charge extra the food is not good at all

Pros: - Prime location - Money worth (but....) - Wooden flooring. Cons: - Bring in prime location, too much traffic and too much pollution (both air and noise) - After checking-in in 109, i could notice the kettle in the room was out of order hence informed the reception to replace and it was done. - Room 109 had an door connecting adjacent room. This door didnt cover the full length (there was a gap in bottom - ref to my photo), hence whatever the person speaks in the other room i can hear. When i checked no one was in the adjacent room. But when i returned in the evening i could hear the entire conversation from the adjacent room. When i called the reception he was saying why i didnt inform this after checking in (very rude). I had to inform him about the kettle repair as well after which they shifted me to another room in 3rd floor. - Another minor issue was the plastics in toilet of room 109 was very dark and dirty as seen in the photo. - Room in third floor had issue with odour and cockroaches in toilet. But since it was for only one night and moreover i had shifted from another room just slept and vacated the next day.

Irrespective of all the negative reviews. I still decided to stay during my transit of my travelling. Along with this reviewni have posted pictures also. Rooms: compact and had everything from toiletries to table, water and other essentials. Especially no cockroaches. Bathroom was small with a weird window on one side. Rest everything was fine. Parking was at the basement (-2) and had seperate lift for it. The drive way was steep , not everyone will be comfortable. Service: as far as the service, there was immediate response for all the queries. Bathroom doors and television were restored in no time. Buffet breakfast: not much of a grand, or tast but it's OK.
