Hotel Alankar Grande

Had buffet dinner on my son's birthday recently. We visited almost morethan 10 years with much expectation to relish our old memories. But to our shock, the food quality is below average and served not hot. When asked, staff told some electrical issue but whole premises is liter with bright lights. Except the fish tank and dining tables , rest were worst including good, service. If needed, price can be increased, to provide quality and variety of food, to compete with today's customer expectations.

We have been staying here for 10+ years whenever we come to Coimbatore. The service used to be great. Currently, due to what looks like an understaffed situation, we had no choice but to help ourselves taking all the luggage on our own. Coming in for a holiday, we did not expect that. Due to this we had a small injury, and requested for ice, due to intense swelling, which was denied. We really don't think this place is great anymore!

Recently stayed at this hotel in Coimbatore. Quite an old property but well maintained ,preserving its charm over the years . Rooms are really spacious . Around 30 mns from the airport . Only areas of improvement would be the breakfast buffet , less options available . We also tried the Bar at the rooftop which was also quite good .

Good property. Some of their rooms are very compact. They provide a better room on the second day only after multiple request. Number of staffs are less due to which the service is very slow. Food is good.

Worst experience. Bad breakfast. No customer centric service. Will never stay again. We have different places to stay in delhi. Big mistake. Did not give me a proper room to refresh just because I reached a few hrs early to check in. I was made to be wait in a dungeon. Extremely bad No complementary breakfast as well. They did not adjust with previous day complementary breakfast as I had one breakfast and paid for it inspite of it being free.

We booked a buffet dinner. The items were not topped and the serving personnel were reluctant to serve the roti, naan etc at the table. Particularly in the cabin-like room at the front no body attended and asked even after repeated requests.

The Sunday buffet lunch @ Hotel Alankar was very ordinary. We used to be regulars for their buffet lunch & dinner. Hadn't been there in a long time. When we went now, we were disappointed with the spread of vegetarian items. Food & cutlery were not being replenished as per the demand. Very cold soup & food. Small bottled water bottles have replaced the water jugs. Wooden ice cream spoons have replaced their SS dessert spoons. I think that they are cutting corners, which is fair enough. But it would be worthwhile to cut down on non critical corners in that. We do appreciate the manpower crisis & other issues all the businesses are having to deal with. Kindly treat this as a positive input to bring back the original quality of service you had!

Rooms are not at all sound proofed. Stayed here for the first time and they gave a special rate for Coimbatore Marathon runners. Couldn't sleep peacefully due to a lot of noise in the nearby rooms. Otherwise perfect location and hundreds of food options.
