Arudhra Residency

We 05 Sri Sathya Sai Baba famies stayed 01 day in 05 DLX rooms. Rooms are not spacious, but hygiene and neat. Linen is Good. Hot water supply in bath rooms is available. Good location and walkable to Sree Chidambareswara temple. Room boys are good and good service. Family and Child safe. For the rooms cost it is only 75% worthy. I feel room rent is higher than the fecilities I recommend families and solo travellers to book and stay safely. Surrounded with shopings and Hotels. *No proper place to keep luggage like suitcase and trolly. Small size space and cupboard is provided. *Not provided 2nd complimetory small soap on request also. *In room kept one towel and provided 2nd towel after request. **Acces road is blocked by trafic police. We have to carry our luggage. On request Hotel boys are supporting to carry the luggage.

Har Har Mahadev |Temple dershanam went well ||Lodging facility -||Decent above average experience,Male staff's are good but not trained & they expect tip to be given for doing one's own duties! ||The female staff is better . || Even in the hotel's around the chidambaram temple,its the same. Giving tip is like the basic necessity. There is a swamp of begging racket(especially healthy looking females) around the city( too notorious and too demanding) not just money or food; they demand monthly groceries aswell ||The bathwater is hard!

Decent Stay Near the Temple Stayed at Arudhra Residency, Chidambaram for a night. Location is very convenient, especially if you're visiting the temple--it's just a short walk away. Rooms were okay for a budget stay, clean but basic. Staff were polite, though service could be a bit more prompt. Overall, a decent option if you're looking for something simple and close to the main attractions.

We Senior Citizen Couple stayed on 05th & 06th Feb 2025 in AC Room. The Check in & Check out was smooth. Room Service was good. The Room was neat and clean. As my Spouse is native of Chidambaram we use to visit once or twice a year regularly. As we normally move by car used to stay in Hotels with car parking facilities. But this time for a change we went by train and particularly stayed in Arudhra Residency. This time we felt that the location was so apt for visiting temple and felt at peace since without parking worries and divers welfare/care etc., We liked this place and we are looking forward to visit next time also by train and stay in Arudhra Residency. The only thing what we felt is....they charged some extra amount for early check in at 09.30 am since the check in/out time is fixed as 12 noon. Without argument we have accepted and paid and really enjoyed our stay. Thats it.

Had not so good experience. The only good thing is nearness to temple and ac rooms. Badly maibtained rooms , dont change bedsheets or pillow covers or blankets. My blanket smelled of urine. There were also couple of bedbugs which were biting at night. Dont give even a good towel, mine was torn. They give reused toothpaste tubes filled with some paste. No Hot water at all though geyser in room which does not work either at night or morning. They switch off the geyser main controls And will not even work when switched on. TV is a little bigger than mobile tablet. Rooms are worth 1/3 the money they charge. Should not pay more than 1000 rs for such rooms.

Location is just adjacent to the temple and price is not costly for the location and for the quality of rooms. Rooms were really good and bathroom toilets are good . But the thing is thay are strict towards the check out time . Pharmacy available in the ground floor and lot of restaurants available around the hotel. Enjoyed the stay with family

Every year we visit chidambaram almost two times. We regularly stay only at Aarudhra residency. Very safe pl6, very close by to thillai natarajan temple, compact and clean rooms. I don't go by vehicles n no problem for me of parking. I would like to stay in this hotel every time I visit since the approach is too too good. Thank you

Great location and Good Hospitality, but they need to upgrade their bed rooms and bathroom if they want to be 3 star. Especially bathrooms, very old bath rooms, showers not working , hot water only available for a short period in the morning, rusted toilets &doors and no toilet papers . No phones in the room / no towels provided. Very noisy at the ground floor
