UPAR Hotels Nungambakkam

We stayed at *Upar* from April 4th to 10th and had a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. Special thanks to *Ms. Usha, **Mr. Balaji, and the **head chef* for going above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring -- we felt very well looked after. When we had a minor AC issue in our first room, the staff handled it immediately and moved us to a new room without any hassle. Everyone we interacted with was professional, thoughtful, and always eager to help. A couple of suggestions to make the experience even better: - A bit more variety in the *menu* would be great. - Including *shower caps* in the bathroom amenities would be a nice touch. Overall, a seamless and relaxing stay. Highly recommend Upar for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place with exceptional service. We'd definitely return!

Just had a great stay at UPAR hotel - very conveniently located; with easy availability of auto-rickshaw / cabs. Excellent freshly cooked South India breakfast available - with a different variety every day, starts at 7:30 am. Great welcoming and helpful staff! I had a slight issue with getting hot water consistently, but it didn't matter for the season I visited. Highly recommend!

Great Stay at Hotel Upar! I stayed at Hotel Upar for 8 nights and had a very comfortable experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The staff was polite and helpful throughout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good, affordable place to stay!

DO NOT BE FOOLED!! DO not fall for the reviews. I hope you sorted by the most recent reviews so you could read mine and it'd help you not do the same mistake I did. Location is the only thing that is good since the US visa biometric location was a 10 minute walk from here. 1. Rooms are sub-par to say the least 2. The reception is kinda weirdly located and the management is really poor. 3. The windows are bolted in and don't open! It's like a prison cell! The nonsensical rules also make it seem like one 3. Floors are dirty, bathroom had cobwebs..no cloth mat for the bath. 4. No smaller towels, no soap to wash your hands 5. No telephone to call for instructions Please look at the pictures I'm posting for what you are actually getting into! Maybe my expectations were too high but that was mostly because of all these fake reviews. Edit: found roaches in the original room, changed rooms and the new room actually had windows.

Useful suggestion: 1. There must be two chairs in 2 Bedroom suite and no sofa in suites. 2. No clothing hangers and rods are missing. Rooms are good, clean and staff are courteous. Complimentary breakfast was excellent.

Superb rooms. Clean well maintained. Minamalistic. Breakfast is very good home cooked like. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly. And I have been a regular customer now for a few months now

- Hotel room was good not the best in class, could be even better and cleaner for the price, bathroom was also good, TV is very small and there is no Tamil TV chennels, only Youtube was working. - Wifi was good speed and coverable. - Breakfast provided was also good, they open from 7.30 to 9.30, it is recommended to go as early as possible, mostly of the visitors stat here for VISA process, so many will take breakfast early and leave the hotel. They provided Idli, Sambar, Chatni, Chapathi, Kuruma, Semya, Vada, Boiled Egg, bread, Jam and Machine Coffee/Tea. - Location of Hotel is not too interior, don't find difficulty in getting Cab. - There are lot of Restaurants nearby (10 to 15min walkable distance), but honestly SS Hyderabad Briyani was affordable and value for money in Nungambakam.

The stay was totally tremendous and the room was neit and clean and all the services are good as it should be. Staffs were also so polite and very helpful. Overall a worthy stay it was...!
