Treebo Elan, Chennai

I loved the room. It has quite decent amount of space. And it wasn't cluttered. |However, there is so much room for improvement. |Dustbins were not provided in the room and in the washroom.|Hand towel was not provided though two bath towels were available.|The cupboards locks were not working. Even if they may not be used, they should be maintained.|Room freshners should be provided.|The manager was not available all the time on the desk.|The service can be improved. I had to remind the manager for water bottle, tea bags, sugar and milk powder at least 4 times.|I liked the place though. No complains but just become better.|

Situated in Chennai's one of the posh areas. The place is small, basically a home stay, clean and well maintained. Walking distance to Chennai VAC (Visa Application Centre) Nugambakkam.

Rooms are basic and spacious. There were small cockroaches in my room and some kind of bugs in the linen which caused my skin to itch. It was quite unpleasant. Also, one must keep running the water and waste over a bucket full of water until it starts to become hot. That's too much of waste of water. The staff are good and co operate as much as they can. I had forgotten a document during checkout and they promptly called to return it back within 5 minutes of my leaving The proximity to the US biometric center is excellent. It's on the parallel road from the hotel and a 10 minute walk.

I am giving one star because there is nothing less. I stayed here taking two rooms, one from 8th Feb 2025 to 11-02-25 for 2 and the other from 10-02-25 to 11-02025 for 1. The experience was one that was just disgusting. I wish to give the following points in elaborate and each of the points are supported either with photo / document or video. 1. Unclean stinking rooms - With foul smell of fungus eminating from Air Conditioning System that has not been serviced/cleaned since several years. All of us (3) got severly infected and suffered from sore throat. 2. Aminities: You do not get at least one liter of water per person per day. Had to demand every day and every time. Empty shampoo dispensers (Pl see the video) 3. Wifi : Stayed for 3 days but worked for only 4 hours on the first day. Every day you need to go and beg them to give a new user id and password but the thing never gets connected. I tried, the hotel staff tried all in vain. 4. Food : The board on the room shows 2 main courses of brakfast, Cut fruits, Fruit Juice Eggs to order. On the first day I found no fruits/eggs. When asked the caretaker replied that there is no such thing. But the second day we saw eggs and the third day I decided not to eat the poorest tasting breakfast in the property. 5. The board says want tea/coffee? Our staff would be delighted to give you extra packs. But from Day 1 I requested coffee packets (after all it must cost a rupee or two) but till I left nothing was provided. 6. Leaky showers see video. 7. For a room taken on 10-11 feb, not even one water bottle was provided. The tooth paste and brush kit that we received for the first room was not provided to the second room. When we demanded a water bottle it was charged as extra. Please see the bill scanned and attached. The funniest part is that it was dated 6/02/25, wheras we paid it on 11/02/25. Looks like the boys here are corrupt. 8.Bed : Measured for a slim indian person. Just 3 feet width and 6 feet long. The train second a/c sleeper bed would be broader than this. On the whole the impression was: 1. A rotten, disgusting, sickening stay. Probably the local staff who manage food and amenities get the stuff but do not care to provide for rooms. The same case with complementary breakfast and water bottles. Very bad experience. Please don't book this if you are booking online. It's near to usa visa center 10min walkable. It's a 3BHK converted into a hotel room. It's not worth paying this amount for this service. Rooms are stinky and not maintained at all. Lots of bugs and cockroaches. Even the sheets looks so old and bad. Room service is also very bad. There was no Wi-Fi, and the receptionist said it had been down for a week. What are we paying for if we're not getting any service? The bathroom is also very bad, with many bugs and moths flying around. Check my photos before booking. Really shame on you Treebo

Recently stayed with adin treebo for an official purpose..Had a very good time, staffs were very good and polite..especially nandhini was very humble and prompt with her service. She fulfilled my all request within time limit. Really appreciate her effort .

Had a very very bad experience with treebo elan honestly in Chennai. We checked in and went out for dinner, we came back and saw room is full of small cockroaches. We asked the manager to clean and he is not ready to do deep cleaning. I couldn't sleep whole night . I booked this place as it was near to visa interview office I had interview next day and this made me tired so much for the next. I suggest not to book this place as maintenance is worst. . I want to complaint to treebo groups to look into such inmainted places

Its not even worth to give 2 stars. Myself with my family booked two rooms here since its very close to Vac centre. I paid on advance as well. Before coming here we went to treebo grace inn in pondicherry nirvana in mahabalipuram. Both were nice. This stay was horrible. We couldnt sleep due to the foul smell and n number of cockroaches. I had very good experience with treebo and i never expected my stay to be that worse here. Pros : near to vac Cons : Rooms doeant had towel watwr bottles nothinv have to call them manytimes Both rooms 2002 and 2005 had n number of cockroaches in which 2005 had more.. it ised to comeout from cupvoards table drawers and we killed it and put in dustbin. Felt veey dirty to stay in the room. They saod wil put spray my parent have asthma problem not sure why they didnt clean it before we arrive The foul smell .Ac was vey less even at 18 degree and remotes were not working. Bathrooms... it was dirty and small cockroaches lying on floor. The bathroom walls were piled with dirt and toilet hand spray if you didnt push the button properly aure that you will hurt yourself with the water flow Foods are not upto the mark .by the time parenta came bak from centre at 9.30 everything almost finished . No courtesy to refill dosa or tea or coffee . Dont expect a cozy lift its a poor old lift with shutting doors The guys should go and check how other treebo hotels are maintained ... never recommend for families
