The Pride Hotel, Chennai

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel. I had booked a Premium Room for 4 days, expecting a comfortable and hygienic environment. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely unpleasant and far below acceptable standards. The room was in a pathetic and unhygienic condition from the start. Despite multiple requests, no one from the staff showed any real intention to listen to or act on my feedback. Instead of addressing my concerns, the staff chose to argue, showing a lack of professionalism and courtesy. To make matters worse, I encountered a large cockroach in the room, which I had to kill myself. I informed the hotel manager about this serious hygiene issue and warned that I would be filing a complaint with the Chennai Corporation. Sadly, there was still no sense of urgency or accountability shown. Due to frustration and anger, I did not allow the room to be cleaned for the entire duration of my stay. I lived in those conditions, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel--let alone one offering "Premium" rooms. I am attaching photographic evidence of the condition of the room for your reference. This has been one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent location and comfortable rooms. The property overall is a little old and jaded. Staff is very polite and breakfast is also pretty good for the price you pay. Some things get missed though. Like I requested for a plate and fork at the restaurant, I was asked to order from room, I ordered from room through housekeeping but it never arrived.

Except Ms Sahana this hotel has no goodness. They don't have enough staff. I was told that there was no bell boy to bring my luggage. The security does both roles sometimes. The room I stayed in was stinking and they just put the spray. They didn't have minimum courtesy to change the room and give us. It was almost 10:30 pm when I checked in. I was not in a mood to argue and fight then. So I ended up adjusting in a stinking room with a narrow bathroom which has many issues. Please don't waste money. Book Harrisons Nungambakkam for the same price.

Even after reaching the hotel by 12, we didn't get our room at the 2 PM check-in time. Had to argue to finally get it around 2:45. And don't even ask about the room. The AC was stuck at 24.5degC the whole time. We stayed for 3 days and complained twice. A technician came, did something, and kept saying it would cool down in 30 minutes -- but it never did. It was actually cooler outside especially at night . We couldn't sleep properly because of this. Room No: 511. If you're planning to check in here, just a heads up. Let me know if you want to make it even shorter or more sarcastic.

Extremely disappointing experience. The service was utterly pathetic, and the behavior of the front office staff was shockingly very bad. I had booked a deluxe room, but to my dismay, I was given a standard double bed room instead. This kind of bait-and-switch is unacceptable, especially from a hotel that claims to be reputable. When I requested a room change, I was flatly told it was "not possible," with zero attempt to resolve the issue.

Premium rooms have ample of space, air conditioning is good, it's clean and comfortable. Food is good and clean Washrooms are very very small even for a 5 year old kid staying alone.

Everything is too good in the city of Chennai. It near to almost all the facilities near by. You can explore markets and much more things which near to this hotel , Kishoth,pradeep,sriram all are doing there job well. Clean , hygiene and everything you need will find here.

The hotel staff and the location is absolutely fantastic. However, the hotel needs renovation. The rooms are pretty old and smelly. The bath tubs are ages old and half of the lights are not working!
