The Kings Park Grand-Near US Consulate & US Biometrics

Landed in Chennai at 1am after 24 hours of flying, and had an appointment at the US VAC at 10am, so picked this hotel for a 2-night stay. Very convenient in terms of the Visa Center - I could just leave my phone at the room, memorize the road to turn on, and walk the half mile to get there. Docked a point because when I got to the room, there were no towels there, and even upon asking, they gave me only one - no napkins or small towels either. The room is small, but enough for 1 or 2 people. The bathroom was large and nice though. The complimentary breakfast at the top floor restaurant was great - enough good food to fill me up for the day while I suffered from severe jetlag. When I gave the hotel's name to the cab at the airport, they dropped me off at the Park, and I had to walk at 2am with luggage in hand for a couple hundred metres - so remember to check where you get dropped off. This hotel has a big sign at the entrance displaying its full name.

I stayed in this hotel last week when I had an appointment for my US visa. The hotel is average at best. I appreciated the cleanliness but the staff doesn't really care. The only reason I stayed here and might stay here again is due to it's proximity to the US consulate. I saw other people stay there for same reason so I guess the hotel gets many such guests and hence the staff is able to get away with average service.

I stayed here for my US visa interview. Location was near to the consulate. Room size was too small for the price. Rooms were stinky. Even though they had provided air filter, odur still persist. Bathroom was very stinky too. I stayed for 2 nights Food was good, but both the days the spread was exactly the same.

This was the worst hotel stay I had ever. The room was so congested. Access card getting locked every time. Very poor service.not worth of money. We could see rat crumbling around the ceiling.Could not have good sleep.People opt this only since the location is near to the consulate. Staff at reception not responsive to any requests from the room.They do not put AC properly in reception area. If guests are coming to meet at reception mosquitoes will have good time One positive aspect is complimentary breakfast which is good. Please atleast read the reviews and try to improve

We have booked double executive room for a night. We planned to check-in at 10:00 pm, but because our train got late, we ended up checking in around 12:40 am. We requested to extend our stay for the next day for 4 hours, as we were attending VISA interview. They told us to go to a normal room where we can stay till 4pm next day, we agreed as we wanted to rest and take it slow. But, the AC in room 102 didn't work, we kept waiting and also asked them to look at it. We were too tired and wanted to sleep, but had to wait till 1:30 am, to finally request them to give us our booked room and we will check out at 11 am the next day. The reason was we were too tired to think anything else. The next morning, we woke up late, hence skipped the breakfast. We requested them to give us an hour extra, which they denied. They told us, the room is already booked but when we went to MakeMyTrip, the room showed unreserved. They also told us the dinner/lunch amount which we paid in advance and never had, was not-refundable. We requested to give us plain rice and curd for the amount we have paid for lunch/dinner, they told us they don't have that. Seriously!!!!! In the whole process, the staff was not cooperative at all, the tone was rude and no service was provided whatsoever. I felt really disappointed and frustrated with the whole process, especially the tone of the staff which made things even worse.

A waste of a hotel! The cost is high, rooms are dirty, with insects and basically a very bad hotel. This room is worth 2-3k only. NOT RECOMMENDED. Staffs were OK, but room quality, the pub they have is very bad. Expensive and bad... They gave only 1 pillow, and I had to call two times to get another one. A soda costs 100 Rs!! It's theft on another level!

For the morning breakfast especially for the live counter there is only one cook available who is preparing the Dosas and also the omlette, the Dosas were not as it was supposed to be . The lady attendant , sorry I do not know her name is excellent and was doing her best. The charges are on the higher side as compared with others. The rooms need upkeep , the ceiling in Bathroom of room 212 is broken and this creates a bad impression, in the room 204 there is wifi issue and had to work using personal hotspot, even in room 212 the wifi signal is erratic. The lockers are provided, however they are locked can it be used. There are no room number pointers le indicating which room is on which side. Overall the staff is courteous and helpful. Hope these points are taken care of.

Service of the hotel is very poor. served cold tea which took 2 hrs to deliver. The hotel did not have hot water in the rainy weather, its not a good service. Had to do a cold shower in the cold climate. We did not get a drop of hot water through out our stay. if you are looking for a good service this may not be the best option.
