A Nightmare - O Jayam Residency: Beware of These Scammers! My recent experience at O Jayam Residency was nothing short of a complete disaster, turning what should have been a straightforward hotel stay into a stressful and infuriating ordeal. I am compelled to share my experience as a stark warning to anyone considering booking this property - beware of these scammers! The trouble began right at the reception. Despite having made a full, non-refundable payment through the OYO app, I was inexplicably denied entry. The reception staff wanted more than 2 X the money .This was despite me having a confirmed booking and proof of full payment readily available on my phone. Frustrated and confused, I immediately contacted OYO customer care through their app. To their credit, OYO support was responsive and tried to resolve the issue. In an unbelievable turn of events, OYO even transferred an additional amount of money to the hotel right in front of me, seemingly to appease the management and secure my room. I witnessed the transaction go through, with the funds being credited to O Jayam Residency. However, even with this additional payment confirmed, the reception staff remained obstinate. They continued to deny me entry shamelessly asking for more money . This blatant disregard for a confirmed booking and the subsequent payment was shocking and utterly unprofessional. As a direct consequence of their inexplicable actions, I was kept waiting for a staggering one hour. After a long journey, all I wanted was to check in and freshen up, but instead, I was met with resistance and deceit. My entire schedule was thrown off, and I was forced to have lunch at an incredibly late 5 PM, adding physical discomfort to the already stressful situation. The audacity of the O Jayam Residency management didn't end there. When the OYO regional manager intervened and personally called the hotel, these individuals shamelessly lied, claiming that there were no rooms available. This was a blatant falsehood, especially considering the initial booking, the full payment, and the additional funds transferred by OYO. Their insistence on denying me a room, despite all evidence to the contrary, strongly suggests a deliberate attempt to defraud customers. Thankfully, OYO customer care continued to be helpful amidst this chaos. Recognizing the unacceptable behavior of O Jayam Residency, they promptly allotted me a different OYO property with zero extra charges. This swift action by OYO salvaged the situation and prevented further inconvenience. However, the experience at O Jayam Residency left a sour taste and a strong sense of having been targeted by dishonest individuals. The blatant denial of a confirmed and paid booking, the lies told to the OYO regional manager, and the sheer waste of my time are inexcusable. Therefore, I implore anyone planning a trip to this area to exercise extreme caution and avoid O Jayam Residency at all costs. My experience strongly suggests that this establishment engages in unethical and potentially fraudulent practices. Save yourself the stress, the wasted time, and the potential financial loss by choosing a more reputable and trustworthy accommodation. You have been warned!

Read carefully : The actual rate is 1800 for AC room. The amazing thing about this place is how long they have been running a scam with active connivance of oyo. The rate shown here and on oyo is only the "booking amount " as per the hotel, and you get to know about it only when you reach the front desk. As oyo doesn't share the direct number even after booking, and no number is visible here as well, till now. Best avoid, for this reason alone.

I stayed in hotels in almost four states, but this one was the worst. They didn't agree to the online price of 700; they asked for 1700. The hot water facility wasn't working, even though a geyser was present. The maintenance was poor, and there was no respect for customers. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Very Worst service, I booked the hotel at the time of check in he said no AC Room available.. then I said give the non AC room he said Water supply not available and many reasons telling like that very rude behaviour...

Horrible Experience - Fraudulent Practices, Poor Service, and Rude Staff"** I recently stayed at [Jayam Residency], listed on OYO, and had a terrible experience. Despite my booking being confirmed for 600 through OYO, and the hotel staff rudely demanded 1,800. With help of the OYO area manager, Mr. Rajesh this is outright fraud and feels like a scam to exploit customers I contacted OYO customer care and waited for over 2 hours on calls, but no resolution was provided. The lack of support from both the hotel and OYO made the situation even more frustrating. The behavior of the hotel staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, and the room conditions were unacceptable: - No hot water was available. - Bedsheets were dirty and not replaced. - Basic amenities were missing. Maximum same review in list Such practices ruin customer trust in OYO and the hotel industry. I urge OYO to investigate this issue, take strict action against Mr. Rajesh, and enforce better quality control. This was one of the worst stays I've ever had, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid this property. Don't fall for their scams!

Booked through OYO and called, confirmed two days back reg the room availability. Manager said rooms are available and not to pay through online and pay direct. But today when the guest visited, same Manager says rooms are not available whether payment is done. This is how you treat a 60 year old man after confirming rooms are available and then denying when guest visits the hotel. Not sure if these issues are taken the owner having these type of people in the name as Managers. Poor service and never book this hotel.

Terrible hotel, poor cleanliness and bad attitude Worst behavior manager. The room was dirty and everything looked old and we soon found animal droppings in the AC unit. My partner has respiratory problems so we went downstairs and informed the front desk receptionist who called in a man. He did not introduce himself and asked us what the problem was so we told him about the animal droppings. He laughed in our faces so we showed him the pictures on our camera. He still laughed so we insisted he come up and see for himself. I asked him who he was and he said he was the owner. We were shocked by his lack of professionalism and bad attitude towards an important matter such as hygiene and safety. When he saw the droppings for himself he offered us a refund of only 50% of our trip but said that there were no other rooms available. Only when we claimed we would leave a negative review did he offer to refund us all of our money and we quickly left and stayed at the 'Holiday Inn' in Vero Beach instead (which we highly recommend!) Hope this helps steer you towards a better hotel. caught impetigo and blame the cleanliness of this so called hotel This establishment is disgusting and shouldn't be allowed to trade as a hotel. PLEASE do not stay here for the following reasons: - The owner threatened us and said that he would take money from our accounts if we wrote a bad review. Lets just see if he's true to his word... - The rooms were dirty and the bed sheets had stains on them - Our room smelt of raw sewage and our toilet didn't work - There was no hot water and the bath taps fell off - Oh, and I caught impetigo which for those of you that don't know is a bacterial infection caused by poor hygiene. I am ashamed that we stayed here and embarrassed that we blessed the owner with any of our hard earned money. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT WE DID!

Beware. First impression is already bad. While checking in receptionist demands almost 2.5 times the booking price from booking.com. I am not sure why oyo or booking.com has not taken any action yet. Seeing the same complaint for months by other customers.
