Staying at the Royal Regency Hotel in Periyamet was a pleasant experience. The hotel's proximity to Chennai Central made it extremely convenient for my travel plans. The staff were courteous and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in. My room was spacious and clean, with all the basic amenities provided. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight, offering a good variety of dishes. While the facilities were decent for a 5-star property, a few areas, like room service speed, could use improvement. Overall, it's a good choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking a convenient location.

Spacious Rooms and Prime Location, But Staff Disappoints!!!I Recently stayed at this hotel and found the rooms to be quite good -- spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is prime, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport, making it a convenient choice for travelers. Overall, it offers good value for money in terms of amenities and room quality. However, the major drawback was the staff behavior, especially at the reception. The level of hospitality and communication was disappointing. The reception team, particularly the gentleman on the evening shift, came across as rude and unwelcoming. Rather than greeting guests with courtesy, the interaction felt more like dealing with a hostel warden -- blunt, dismissive, and sometimes even commanding. Hospitality is a key part of the hotel experience, and unfortunately, this is where the hotel falls short. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides proper training to the front desk staff to ensure a more pleasant and professional experience for future guests

Stayed here as this is the holiday home for State Bank ( SBI). Location is the major catch. Walkable distance from Chennai Central and Park station. But place was quite and room had a decent view. Rooms are average and air conditioning was not proper even during summer. Toilets were clean but towel provided was not. Cabs and rickshaws available even at mid night.

I alongwith my family members had stayed at Hotel Royal Regency, Egmore during the first week of April 2025. The service provided at the Hotel were good. One day cockroaches were found in our room. Upon informing them, they shifted us to another room. During this shifting, one of our bags containing new clothes was left behind. This we came to know only upon reaching home. We contacted the Hotel Reception to enquire about the missing clothes. Initially they had denied having seen the clothes bag. As I had the contact number of one Hotel staff Mr. Ganesh, I contacted him and told him the matter. Though he was on leave that day, he assured me that he will look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest. With his initiative and assistance, we got back our clothes. We are thankful to Mr. Ganesh for his prompt response.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Highly recommended! Stayed there just for a night but found it really nice. Extremely neat and clean, hospitality was good, and location was superb being almost at a walking distance from Chennai Central railway station.

Located at prime location. Meeting halls were so good and neatly maintained. But the only drawback is we need to come down to the ground floor for washroom. They need to arrange washrooms in the meeting hall floors also

We had a two day stay with a small group of family members and all of us loved the experience. The hotel looks royal after its recent renovation in most of the ways. Kind and upright hotel team took well care of the guest. Special thanks to Mr Vijay!
