Pharos Hotels

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was lovely. The rooms are neat and clean and spacious with all the required amenities. The hotel is well located so finding public transport around was not a problem. The resturant is not huge but good size but the food is incredible. the breakfast menu was amazing- a full spread. The Pizza , Biryani, the desserts were all amazing which we ordered to our room. The service could be a shade better but still a 4/5. Lovely place to stay.

Overall a great hotel with service minded staff and excellent food. Pros- 1. Great location 2. Clean and spacious rooms 3. Excellent food 4. Service minded staff - small issues promptly addressed Improvement suggestion- When serving in-room dining, please either send the bill either with the food or when collecting the dishes after dinner. It is very annoying to be disturbed while having a meal in the room (open the door and pay in the middle of the meal).

First-time experience at Pharos Hotel. The welcome by the receptionist was quite standard, nothing exceptional. The rooms were clean and well-maintained -- giving 4 stars for that aspect. However, the restaurant experience was disappointing. There was an unusually long wait of over 30 minutes after placing the order, which affected the overall impression. Breakfast was decent, nothing to complain about. Overall, the experience was average.

No complaints regarding our stay here. Very peaceful. Good service from the restaurant as well as house keeping. They take good care of their customers. I really don't know why there are mixed reviews about it. But it's a very good property. Decent breakfast. Good restaurants in the same property. I don't mind going back there during my next visit to Chennai.

As soon as you walk into the lobby, you're welcomed warmly by the smell. This stands true for the entire hotel because the rooms also stinks. I was afraid that I would loose my sense of smell after staying here. The rooms are not maintained well. Everything needs a serious revamp. The food was barely edible and I found hair in my food

I had an excellent stay at this hotel in January. Mr Ashok was very friendly and helpful at reception. A fantastic guy. The staff at breakfast were also fantastic. I appreciate the service at this hotel and would like to stay there again. Cheers - Uvarajan

By European standards this is barely a 2* hotel! There is a terrible odour in some rooms.|Bronze package advertised as including breakfast and TWO PINTS of local beer per day but you get is two 325ml bottles of beer! They claim that an Indian pint is 330ml!! |Hotel is in dire need of renovation. |Rooms are shabby (need redecoration) and not properly cleaned. Dusty, cobwebs apparent in rooms and bathrooms are in a poor condition - also water pressure not sufficient. TV in rooms barely watchable with a total lack of HD channels and proper connectivity. Only positive note is that beds are comfortable and sheets are clean.|There is a complete lack of supervision by management who are not visible or approachable. No wonder the hard working staff have no motivation to do better.|Restaurant staff are very attentive and breakfast fare is okay serving asian and international variety. Tea/Coffee is served with a wooden stirrer as opposed to a teaspoon! |I have never known a hotel to be so poorly managed and lacking in staff supervision.|Certainly would not recommend this awful property if you want a stress free stay. Was there for 6 nights from 25/11 to 01/12/24.

Not so great hotel. Charges are high but services are poor. Booked hotel for 2 person with single queen bed but were provided two individual size twin beds. Despite multiple request room was not replaced. Food service was just ok, have received much better buffets in other cheaper hotels. Not worth the money.
