I made a reservation for a night from February 1 to February 2, 2025, with a price of 1331, including tax and GST, through Booking.com. However, upon arrival, the manager, Mr. Varun Dakshin, requested payment of 1450, stating that Booking.com is not updated with the latest GST information. When I questioned this, he advised me to contact Booking.com's customer care, which was not appreciated, especially after a long journey and arriving at the homestay late in the evening. I paid the additional amount but would like to raise this issue to alert others who may consider booking this homestay.
