Madras House

Attended a wedding reception yesterday night. Rooftop decorations are good.When I look at food and the services totally waste. Food is not hygiene . Soup kept open without attender. Guests are not able to do self service. Roti , rubbery not cooked properly and ice cold. Some food counters are empty without top ups or refilling.there was curd vada , that's can be called hard vada with spoiled curd. Total mismanagement without any care and courtesy,since you are charging for food from bride side .

Located inside a multi floor small shopping center (they call it a mall). Area is clumsy crowded, heavily traffic prone, polluted area, with difficult access. Madras House - Poor Service on catering for buffet, Least menu / dishes, small hall with seating for 40-50 people in tight space, dining inside the resto-bar with few tables, their kitchen can't handle the inflow of people for function (numbers known to them while booking space). Overall all a score of 1 out of 10.

This madras house hotel is simply Amazing. Loved the way they have displayed the old transistor style radio, chairs and other furniture designed in such a way it gives us a nostalgic effect. The staff were very friendly and cooperative. Thank you Madras Hotel team.

Ok place for parties etc. The service was very slow and there was no place to sit. Could have been better . It's located in a mall , that too on the 3rd floor . Quite difficult to find the location.

Terrible hospitality, staff and maintenence at a beautifully designed and developed property. As we checked into the room we saw a few dead cockroaches, the next day even by evening room service had not cleaned the room or taken even the dishes etc. The worst part is that it is inside the mall and they'll make you pay for the car parking at mall rates (over 500 per night), they will say it will be free but will state some technicality to deny. Overall, I will never return to this place or recommend it.

I've come to Chennai on business. The Madras House is excellent. It's a great location, great food/restaurants, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff very attentive. Overall a fantastic experience... I'll be back!

We were looking for a good place near Koyambedu and stumbled upon Madras house, the photographs looked stunning, location was quite convenient to our requirements but nowhere it was reviewed.||Finally we made up our mind to give it a go! Even though located in the VR Mall building it had a dedicated parking and entrance. Which was a big plus. The check-in was very smooth, Edwin at the front desk helped our mother with the wheelchair and showed us our rooms and ensured that we were comfortable.||The rooms were well designed with a balcony, the restaurant served well made food which was enjoyed by all age groups of our family, it was a nice beginning to our stay in Chennai.||The second day morning we had to start early for a family event, first the water in the flush got exhausted, a lone drowsy person in the reception desk was not of much help. When we finally got ready we could not drive past the exit gate, since gates were closed (the hotel shares the mall parking) and we had to search for someone who had access to open the gate. Eventually we were delayed almost by an hour due to the morning events.||Since the hotel is relatively new, we assume it to be minor teething problems, I look forward to the team at Chennai House working towards ironing them out.

Please don't go by these reviews. This hotel is located inside a clumsy mall. The surroundings are almost deserted.We had a very bad experience. We booked a room on the 2nd of Jun and informed the management that we will check in midnight since our vehicle broke down and we reached near the mall at 2 30 am. We were trying to reach the reception for check in and they dint allow us inside since the mall gate was locked we were wandering arround the mall till 5 am as they informed us that the mall will at 6 am until then we were asked to sit in the car. Despite of calling them in numerable times no one answered. Guests will not be allowed to checkin or get in to the hotel premises late night. After 3 hours of waiting time we had to cancel the stay. Please be beware such hotels. No were in the address it's mentioned it's located in the mall. And it's not safe place to stay
