Just Guest House, chennai Airport

Just Guest House is just what you need, if you need a clean and simple place to crash. Their sign also says that hourly rentals are possible, subject to availability. This is wonderful to remember if you have a long layover at the airport, and you want to freshen up. I stayed here two separate times, for a few nights each, in between business and personal trips. The owner is friendly and is sometimes present in the daytime. He is very helpful. The front desk woman is a LOVELY woman with a happy smile at all times. Both were willing to help me with some communication issues that I had, as I am a foreigner who does not speak Tamil. You can't miss that the floors and rooms are immaculate here. I am not one who needs a fancy place to stay, but I do want a place to be clean and hygienic. Just Guest House is! I've stayed in 5 star hotels in Chennai where I've seen pests in the hotel. I didn't see a single one here. The location is right on the corner of Joseph St. and Veeramamunivar St, where there is a colorful, ornate temple arch. You can walk out and find just about anything you need- bottled water, food, clothing, groceries, toiletries, coffee, tea, and beyond. It's approximately a 15 minute, inexpensive ride to the airport, even with Chennai traffic. Despite being close to the airport, you don't hear many airplanes passing by. During my 2 trips, I stayed in 2 different rooms. Both had all I needed. The rooms are quiet. The beds are comfortable and the bedding and pillows are clean and new. Both rooms had at least one cabinet to store your goods in, a chair to sit at and a bedside table. The rooms have AC and ceiling fans. As a foreigner from a cold climate, I always sweat and feel hot in Chennai, but I felt cool and comfortable in my rooms. A towel and soap are also provided. Daily you receive a bottle of water. This hotel is not Handicap accessible if you need an elevator. You must walk up stairs to get to the front desk. There is a small patio/ balcony on the upper level that is free for all guests to use. I used this space to read and do computer work and to enjoy a drink and some fruit. There are several young men on site at all hours who can help you if you need to get your bags our, or if you have other needs. Since they are always present, I feel safe that no strangers will wander into the hotel. It's very easy to get Uber to and from here. The drivers will have no trouble finding you. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chennai!

I've stayed at this hotel a few times while visiting Chennai, and it's in a great location. It's just one kilometer from the railway station and four kilometers from the airport. There are plenty of small restaurants, courier services, and other essentials just a minute's walk away, which makes everything really convenient. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are average, but I'd still highly recommend this place for its accessibility and ease of getting around.

I stayed here last whole week. The receptionist was very welcoming, polite, kind, and on point. I was able to contact them, and the room service was also so good. It was very helpful. The room was immaculate and maintained. AC and the water supply were good. TV was working well. I would recommend this for a long stay.

We were very pleased we chose to stay at Just Guest House. The location was convenient for the airport, only AUS$3.80 in an Uber. It's in an interesting area with local shops & places to eat. The rooms were basic but extremely clean & comfortable. The price also included a tasty breakfast. The staff were very helpful & couldn't do enough for us. It is very reasonably priced & perfect for an overnight stay if you're catching a flight the next day. We would definitely recommend it.

My room was ok although the wifi strength was weak, I had to sit in the reception area to get a good connection. There was no hot water for my shower. Apart from this staff service was good and area was safe and secure. This hotel has a convient location to the airport.

Worst experience with goibibo flexi checkin option with this hotel. I travelled to chennai from bangalore for a single day for a govt office purpose, needed to fresh up in the early morning while reaching chennai and night before my return, only for that purpose I booked Just Guest House with flexi checkin option in goibibo. In my booking confirmation it is clearly mentioned my checkin is between 6 to 8 am, so I didn't contact the hotel for checkin confirmation. When I reached the hotel after overnight travel they told the room is not available, all rooms are full. I got surprised, I saw my name is written in their register, they know I have a booking, but they are telling room is not available. When I asked in detail they told they have already informed goibibo that early checkin is based on availability, contact them. But the point here is I didn't ask for an early checkin in the hotel, I saw flexi checkin as an option in goibibo app, searched the hotel with flexi checkin and booked since it is suitable for my travel purpose. My checkin time is clearly mentioned as 6 to 8 am, (attaching the screenshot). Then I called the goibibo customer support, the madam also told the early checkin is based on availability, what the hell!! why they introduced this feature in goibibo, after booking confirmation and payment also your room is based on availability!! If this is the case then the hotel could have informed me in prior that the room is not available. Since I quarrel with them both they were ready to give me one room but only if I pay the early checkin charges!! So disappointing... I just walked away, sometimes it is not about money, it is about trust. Please don't trust the flexi checkin option in goibibo.

Hello ! I choose to stay at this place for last 6 months ,whenever I'm visiting Chennai for my official work. It's has the decent rooms and especially the staffs are very helpful and Kind. So you feel very comfortable with this place. Few pharmacy and hospitals also near by, like walking distance and You can find a private laundry services near to this place. It's very near to the Airport and it's near to the Metro Station, which connects few other important places of the city. Velachery Phoenix Mall and Grand Mall is near by ,so if you want to do some shopping it's easy to access those places. I really appreciate how they treated me and other guests, I would like to stay here again, if visiting Chennai.

Great place to stay at Chennai . Very Close to Airport and railway Station.The local Market is also nearby you can Explore and try different foods there.
