Hotel Tambaram Sun Shine

Very bad service. We booked through online. I called them to confirm. They said, they don't know how to check the system. I thought of cancelling the booking but since they were charging 90% cancellation fee, I decided to go there and then talk. When I reached there, everyone literally fled the reception. They didn't even talk to me. I was standing there with my family after a 36 hrs journey and they just refused to talk to me. Now, i got harassed, lost money, lost time and didn't get room also. If you're not accepting online booking why the fick you have listed your property online? I'll pray to god that no one else has to face this.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Tambaram Sun Shine with my family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing us with ample space to relax. The staff was polite and cordial, always ready to assist us. They were kind enough to arrange hot water for us, which was very thoughtful. Overall, a great experience with a warm and accommodating environment. Would definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable stay in Tambaram.

Only except location (if somebody wants to stay near Tambaram) & a big room, there is nothing to praise. For AC Room they are charging just double of normal charge. Bathroom Ceiling is leaking from above bathroom waste water discharge. Reaching from Tambaram station is also a problem if you don't hire a taxi or auto. Dingy crowded road. I stay normally at Arunachal Inn which is near to Chennai Central Railway station & is a far far cry from this stay. There you get an ac room for even a lesser price than this. Not recommended!!

Nice place to stay with family. Safe place for women. Neat and spacious. I stayed during day and ideally located for access to other places from tambaram. The hotel management can consider for a small tiffin center in the hotel which will be more helpful for the residents in the early morning and nights...Thank you.

I could comfortably stay at this place while in Chennai. The AC room we booked was okay and its attached toilet was not bad. But the Non-AC room's toilet was in a poor condition. Toothbrushes, toothpaste and bath soaps are given along with the room key.

This place is a hidden gem.Awesome value for money. Ground staff Raju and receptionist madam very helpful,kind and down to earth. Very professional and helpful. Am aware chennai has power outage but this place in my stay tenure had good power back up so witnessed no power outage. Clean linen on bed and towels. Now the rooms as mentioned by fellow comments below clean, tidy spacious bed it is. Attached are pics taken on 3.9.2024 at 3pm for all future travellers. Bathrooms are well maintained. True value for money. Owner of the hotel should be proud to have passionate and hard working staff like Raju and madam. Definitely 5 stars

Rooms are very clean but toilet maintenance has to be improved.staffs are very polite and caring.
