Hotel Southern Comfort

Booked room for 4k for a couple hours( travelling for work so was there from 1am to 5am). The room smelled, made the complaint and they said we will fix it. No one came and since i was barely there for a couple hours, I managed to sleep ( also the room was right at the main road so hence too much noise). In the morning, when I went to bathroom to shower, the water was yellow. Called reception and no response. Checked out and was getting late, the receptionist said i will tell my manager for solution then started abusing. Also there are bed bugs. Really really terrible. Really terrible service and rooms. Please avoid if you want safe place to stay and be able to work the next day

This hotel was a huge disappointment. While the rooms look appealing in the photos, the reality is far from that. I understand this may have been a good hotel a decade ago, but today, it's falling apart. The only positive aspect was the spaciousness of the rooms. Unfortunately, the bathroom fittings were completely rusted, and the shower didn't work properly. The only toiletries provided were a used shampoo bottle and a dental kit. Sure, I could have requested a new one, but it's the hotel's responsibility to replace these items before guests check in, especially when they're coming in after a night's stay. For the room, I'd give it 2 stars, and that's only because of its size. As for the breakfast, it was mostly South Indian fare. I was surprised to see "fish gravy" literally meant just fish gravy! The food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't to my liking. Considering it only cost Rs 250, I'd rate it 2.5/5. The gym is quite limited, with only three pieces of equipment available. I would not recommend this hotel for any traveler.

I found the service to be good and the location very convenient. I also enjoyed the food during my stay. However, I feel that there is room for improvement in the bathrooms and furnishings.

Trust me... I checked around 2:30 AM as I traveled from Pune late night flight. Images are superb while cocroaches are enhancing the actual views.... Floor mat is full of dust.... 4700 INR/Night 8th April and room no 401. Don't impressed with images... Pl

I have stayed at Hotel Southern Comfort more than 10 times over the past year, and the only reason I keep returning is its convenient location and proximity to the airport. However, beyond this, the hotel seems to disregard quality and hospitality, likely because most of their guests are short-stay transit travelers. Despite multiple requests, they have consistently refused to address or update certain issues. For instance, the refrigerators on the third floor are entirely non-functional in every room. When I brought this up, their response was baffling--they admitted that none of the refrigerators on that floor work and simply stated they couldn't fix or replace them. The condition of the furniture is equally disappointing. The sofa cushions are in terrible shape and covered with a yellow cloth to conceal the damage (photo attached). The bed sheets are visibly yellowed and riddled with multiple holes, which is unacceptable for any hotel claiming to provide quality service. The bathrooms are no better--tiny, poorly designed, and equipped with substandard fittings that detract from the comfort of your stay. It's unfortunate that such a well-located hotel with great potential chooses to overlook basic standards of hospitality and maintenance. If they focused on addressing these issues, the overall experience could be vastly improved. Until then, I would recommend considering alternatives if you're looking for a more pleasant stay.

Since I don't have an option to provide 0 Rating hence giving 1 star instead. Hotel located near the Airport and unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of my stay. The room I was assigned was not properly cleaned and had an unpleasant odor. IT DID NOT WORTH TO THE PRICE I PAID. During my two-day stay encountered multiple issues. On the first day, there was no power entire night, and on the second day the air conditioning was not working. The breakfast provided was below average, and when I ordered lunch, it took more than hour and after waiting that long, I decided to cancel the order, but the staff did not inquire about the cancellation or express any concern. Moreover, I was disappointed to find that the rooms displayed on Google photos did not match the actual room provided to me. Overall, my experience was very disappointed.

If you're looking for a hotel near the Airport, this is an ideal stay. And they also provide airport shuttles on extra charges. Rooms are okay, not justifying the price you pay. The bedding is so bad. Only 2 ppl can use it.... If you're a family of 3, it's not sufficient. Poor bathrooms with no proper flush. They have laundry facilities it seems, haven't tried that. It was always noisy outside. If you're looking for a quiet and a serene stay, this place is not recommended at all. Good thing is they've a Chettinad hotel at the ground floor, which serves really good food at a great price. Room service is also great and on time. Competent staff.

I found bugs in the bed, and when I requested a room change, I was given another room with no ventilation, filled with the smell of smoke. It was unbearable--I couldn't even stay for a few minutes and had to book another hotel in the middle of the night right after arriving. The staff didn't seem to care at all. Clearly, the owners don't care either, as there are already plenty of negative reviews, and nothing has been done to fix these issues. Avoid this place at all costs!
