Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels

I'm here for a long stay and still haven't checked out and I couldn't help but write a review for this hotel and its staff right away. The check-in was a breeze. Their breakfast spread is amazing and the food is to die for. They cater to my picky kid's requests so calmly as if they have been trained to never say no to their guests' requests. Having experienced their breakfast the very first day, I quickly upgraded my plan to include dinner buffet as well as I knew I couldn't get better food anywhere else. Dinner buffet is lavish as well as they easily accommodate our out of menu requests as well. Chef Leo, Jabid, Priyanka, Mawii cater to all our requests very happily everyday. If an out of menu order is taking time, they give an update also from time to time, no matter how busy they are (which is very rare to see in other hotels). Their rooms are spacious and cleaning staff is also very nice and room service is top notch every single day. They never make any errors. I have been to all other five stars including Taj, ITC, Leela etc but I will always remember GRT's hospitality. Thank you so much and I keenly look forward to coming here again!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was absolutely delicious--every meal was full of flavor and beautifully presented. A special mention to Sanjai Kumar for the exceptional dinner service--his attention to detail and hospitality truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, and the overall service was excellent. I also want to thank Marimuthu, our driver, for being so courteous, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, comfort, and top-notch service!

We had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding -- every staff member was polite, professional, and genuinely welcoming. You can really feel that they care about their guests. The entire hotel was spotless, from the lobby to the rooms, which made the stay even more comfortable. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well taken care of. I highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent hospitality and a clean, pleasant environment.

Always a wonderful and comfortable stay here, we have been coming for a few years now. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel provides a relaxing antidote after spending the day in the bustle of Chennai. Food especially breakfast is great, tasty and good selections for late dining too. Love the efforts in becoming more sustainable too without compromising on quality or service. Fantastic experience. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast spread was very good and tasty. The hotel even surprised my husband with a complimentary cake and had the room decorated on his birthday. It was truly a thoughtful gesture by the hotel. Exceptional customer service. Definitely my choice of stay for my next trip to Chennai.

We have been visiting Chennai regularly over many years but this is the first time stayed in Grand Chennai GRT during our recent visit to Chennai in Mar 2025 and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Its a complete package with superb food with full of varieties. Added bonus is the common lounge and plenty of facilities for guests to sit back, relax and meet with friends and other guests. Service was top notch. Staff from reception, room service and catering department were all so kind and friendly ensuring guests are treated well and their needs are well attended with utmost care. Even the General Manager personally met with us to seek our feedback. Overall a well run hotel and is highly recommend.
