Grand Cascade Hotels

It sucks. In short: Poor cleanliness. Poor dining. Food not great. No outside food. Rude receptionists. No usable charging ports. Unusable electronics. Slow wifi. Please refrain from taking a room here. Receptionist is rude. It literally takes like 10-15 minutes to process the check-in itself and hand over the room key. Room stinks. Floor sticks. Seems like they just reuse stinky water to mop the floor. The AC doesnt work. Opening windows just brings in a hell a lot of dust. The fridge is broken. Kettle is rusted. Sheets are stained. Beds just creak A LOT !!! Not just the bed... every single wooden things here creaks. The cupboards, the doors, beds. On top of this , Just two plug points in the entire room which you can actually use, bcs when you try to plug in your adapter, it automatically turns off the switch by pushing against it. Too many power cuts. And it takes a lot of time for the back up to kick in too. And ig the walls are too thin, I'm able to hear the couples from the other side. No doormats for the door and bathroom. WiFi is so slow. The food is also just par. The buffet didnt have a wide spread either. No juice. No breads. Nothing. They just have the burner at blast and every single thing is too hot to touch. The seating arrangement is very poor too. They have set up every table too close to each other bcs of which you can't sit or get out of a chair without disturbing the person sitting behind you. Man, this place just sucks. I ordered food through zomato and these people collected the order from that guy and didnt inform me either. When i called the delivery guy , he said he had given it in the reception some 15 minutes ago. When I called the reception and asked about it, they said they wont allow outside food as they have their own restaurant. And this wasnt mentioned to me earlier at all. I asked them to send it to my room and they refused to do so. They wanted me to come down and collect it myself. See. I don't have a problem with going down myself. They could have directly said the delivery guy to call me and ask me to come down saying delivery agents are not allowed to the rooms. Or they could have called me immediately as they collected it from him. It's just rude to just take it away from the delivery guy and not inform me. Just not recommended at all. It just sucks man. Not worth it. They call themselves a 3 star hotel but a shady lodge would have made your stay a lot happier.

The hotel is well maintained and clean. Overall it was a good experience here. We stayed as a family and they helped us with extra beds too. Room service men working here do a good job. Parking is a bit cramped for cars. The area of the location is also a bit cramped and may cause congestion in the road sometimes. A good value for money experience here.

I recently stayed at Grand Cascade Chennai for a business trip, and here's my take on the property: The hotel is a bit dated, but considering the rates and charges, the rooms are decent for a short stay. It's an ideal place for business trips, particularly due to the 24-hour check-in and check-out policy (from 8 AM to 8 AM), which gives flexibility when managing tight schedules. The breakfast spread is fairly limited, but it covers the basics well. Expect typical South Indian options like Medu Wada, Idli, Rasam, chutney, fruit juice, bread, tea/coffee, Upma, and Paratha - nothing extravagant, but enough to start the day. Rooms are on the smaller side, but perfectly fine for a 1-2 day stay. While not luxurious, they are comfortable for those who need a place to rest between meetings or work. Valet parking is available, which is a plus for convenience. Overall, it's a simple and functional hotel, good for quick business trips, but don't expect anything fancy. It's okay for a short stay if you're not looking for luxury.

The bell carts were really nice. After i enter the corridor smells really bad moreover i have given the worst room with dirty linens ( dirty pillowcases, bedsheets, duvet cover not changed) i booked for king size spacious room they provide me with small room, only 1 bathing towel for couples. I didn't sleep well because of mosquitoes. Receptionist help us a lot.

Very nice, clean and well maintained rooms. Service - All bell boys are very decent and professional. The hotel itself is quite clean and very regularly maintained when i was there. All in all, highly recommended for the price.

Absolutely dirty sticky bathroom floor Forget about good hot shower Towels stained red and smelly Housekeeping entered my room without my permission and all my bags were open. Breakfast table mats with leftover food drops of previous customers

Good hotel for business stay near to chennai railway station especially for solo trip only. Rooms and washroom is small comparatively.Took dinner from the same hotel restaurant and was good with variety options. Had taken conplimentary breakfast option.Breakfast was awesome and tasty. Staffs are good. Overall good stay has been completed.

The triple room is good value for money for families. However the double room allotted to me had a barely functional AC, with the telephone not working. The complimentary breakfast was decent.
