One of the best place to stay for shorter or longer period in Chennai. The owner is a very kind, generous and friendly man. Clean rooms and friendly staffs. This place has common kitchens and cloth washing facilities on roof top. Healthy morning complementary breakfast is provided daily. Separate drinking water facility is available. Best place for patients who visit for treatment in nearby hospitals. All kind of shops are at walkable distance.

Room was good, clean and well maintained. Toilet also was clean.

Excellent arrangements provided by the host. Good place to stay at very reasonable cost, for tourists as well as patients visiting hospitals nearby. Free breakfast provided here is like home made food. Safe and healthy food , clean drinking water, free wifi provided here. 2 kitchens with gas connections and vessels provided for those who can cook their own food. 2 washing machines and clothes line also available here. Very friendly host and staff. Everything organized and clean. Close to Chromepet railway station and bus stand. Shops, hotels also are nearby. I would recommend this place any time. Dr Sriram S

Very bad experience staying in this room when we came to Dr. Rela Hospital for a checkup from the outside station. Once you decide to stay in this room, take the HIT to kill the cockroach with you. The reason is that there are a lot of cockroaches in the room and bed. When we made a complaint to management, they were extremely irresponsible. They haven't allowed us to give a clean room for our stay.

WE stayed for 3 nights in the hotel. ||Location: In Chromepet west, a little over a kilometer from the GST road/Chromepet station. There is a reliance fresh nearby. It is in a small street. If you have a car, then parking is on the road. Autos are available - between Rs. 30 - 50 to GST road, depending on which side of the road you want to go to. There is also a bus (frequency not sure of) and share autos. if you are lucky, you will get an uber auto/cab. There is a reliance fresh nearby. If you are an early riser, there is a tea shop which opens at around 4:30am.||Room: Clean and enough for 2. A bed and space to keep your luggage and toileteries, AC and fan in the room and a TV (did not switch on the TV at all), Small bathroom.||Food: Breakfast is part of the rent. Prepared at a home and delivered. We had Dosai, Upma, Kuzhi Panyiyaram. The taste was good. The ladies who make and serve are very courteous. Lunch, Dinner etc. , you can either online or go to GST road. We had Lunch/Dinner in Vasantha bhavan, on GST road, about a km away. We had to take an auto every time. Vansantha bhavan food and service was very good.||Service: the owner was extremely polite and helpful. He went out of his way to arrange for the pancha patram, a thambalam etc. for the upakaram/Aavaniavattam (i was there on the day of the function). Also, called up his friend to find out the nearby temple where i could perform the upakarma. Extremely helpful person.||For cleaning the room, once you inform the reception, it takes time before they clean it. There is can of water in each floor, so bottled water not required. ||There is no laundry service at the hotel. They said they could call somebody and it would take a couple days. So, we handwashed our clothes and dried them in the balcony.||overall a real value for money. Accepted credit card without any qualms. ||Would be good if they did not allow smoking and drinking in rooms (we found a few bottles lying in the corridor).

GKR Residency at Chandran nagar chromepet is one of the best residency apartments. Rooms are clean and neatly maintained with affordable prices. Staffs are very friendly and highly cooperative. You can start your day with a healthy home made complimentary breakfast with tea. I will recommend GKR Residency for anyone who is looking for safe stay in Chennai with affordable prices.

A very friendly and cooperative staff. You'll feel like home here with a washing machine and two kitchens, this place is one the best in affordable rates in that area and the best part if you're admitted to or want to get treated at Rela Institute or Shree balaji Hospital, you'll just have to walk for 500-600 mts to get there.

I visited Dr. Rela Institute for medical purpose. Just before taking my flight to Chennai, OYO suddenly cancelled my booking. At a rush, I found this place and called them. The owner welcomed my call and ensured my booking. I was amazed by his sweet behaviour. When we reached the place, the receptionist also provided necessary assistance and check-in was smooth. All expected amenities like AC, TV, hot-water etc were in working order. complimentary breakfast had a variety of foods. A peaceful place for regular/medical visits. Pros: 1. Good place to stay, especially for patient parties. 2. Nice home-made fresh foods. 3. Polite personnel. 4. A very gentle and helpful owner. Cons: The property (rather the location) is probably more suitable for people accompanying patients at the nearby hospitals or regular visutors, not for business trips, vacations.
