I had the opportunity to stay at the Fortune ITC Beach Resort on ECR this past weekend. While the property does offer a pleasing ambiance with well-appointed rooms and decent amenities, it falls short of delivering an experience that justifies its brand reputation. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, albeit not exceptional. The facilities met basic expectations but did not stand out in terms of luxury or finesse. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the breakfast buffet. Despite being a staple offering in most premium stays, the culinary experience here was severely lacking. The South Indian staples -- Pongal and Upma -- were inexplicably bland and lacked even basic seasoning. The idlis were dense and unappetizing, and the sambar resembled a diluted dal stew more than a traditional accompaniment. Cold chutneys served straight from the refrigerator, rubbery momos, and uninspired noodles only added to the lackluster spread. Even the desserts, presumably intended to provide a sweet finish, were clearly thawed straight from the freezer, devoid of any freshness or flavor. It is rather unfortunate that a property bearing the ITC name would fall so short in culinary standards. I would strongly recommend booking your stay without the breakfast option, and instead visiting A2B, conveniently located nearby, for a far more satisfying meal. In summary, while the resort has the potential to offer a relaxing stay, the food leaves much to be desired. A serious revamp of the kitchen and its quality control is essential if the establishment hopes to live up to the expectations that come with its brand.

There's also a small play area for kids, which is a nice addition. Breakfast was decent but could be improved with more variety. Additionally, the resort could enhance its offerings by including indoor games, a gym, and a spa for a more comprehensive experience. However, one downside is the approach road to the resort, which is in poor condition. Also, there are quite a few street dogs around at night, which might be a concern for some guests. Overall, it was a good and relaxing stay. With a few improvements, this place could be even better. Would definitely consider coming back!

The swimming pool was well-kept, and the food tasted great. Adding a few more vegetarian options would make it even better. Overall, a wonderful experience for teams and groups!

We recently stayed at the fortune for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful experience. The hotel's location was perfect, and the staff were incredibly friendly especially "Arul" and accommodating. Our room was clean, well-appointed, and offered a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious option. Overall, we highly recommend this stay.

A fairly new resort in ECR with unique rooms. The in-room dining and breakfast were delicious, offering a good variety. Special thanks to Sundar and Nora for their excellent service. Things to note: * The rooms are not sea-facing. * No bathtubs in any of the rooms. * Only one buggy is available for transport. * The beach area is quite dirty as it is located before the toll.

The rooms and dining are very good. This is a calm place and perfect gateway for those seeking serenity. Swimming pool is good and maintained well. Not much activities provided.
