Amman Cottage

Nice place to stay with family, you will get nice mountain view from balcony with morning nature sounds. Coming to food- Fish fry is awesome, fish gravy they prepared is ultimate and mutton curry is so delicious, try to check in once here guys. I will pitch in again next time.

Honest review is that I did not expect the cottage would be this neat and comfortable at Hoganekkal. I would like to share both pros and cons of this location Pros: 1. Clean and good ambience 2. Owner Shakthivel and his wife are too humble, respect the guest and try to make the guest stay comfortable 3. Breezy Balcony was so good for a get together. The complete cottage can accommodate around 16 - 20 people easily and price is not that high. 4. Home cook food by Owner's wife was excellent especially Veg Meals, Chicken gravy 5. All equipment & amenities in cottage were working well Cons: 1. ~1.3 kms away from the main falls, though it is good to be away from the crowded place, people without car may find difficult. Though there is Auto service available from the cottage, but they charge Rs.100-150 as one way and return would be somewhere Rs.200-250 also based on the time you return. 2. No Geyser, though 90% of the time it is not required as the weather is hot, but still if kids are there it might be required. 3. When we stayed, there was frequent power cut, so AC was not working, but still FAN was running in UPS which is good. 4. Food was slightly expensive and preparation charge also I felt a bit expensive. You can check the price before ordering, so that you are clear and can decide to buy there or outside Overall, I would say the best stay I had ever had at Hoganekkal and good homely food.

We planned for lunch in amman hotel. It was well prepared and well served. We need to book for lunch not like regular hotel where we go and order and eat. So book in advance. We around 10 people which cost around 2500 for lunch on an average about 250 per head which is cheap and taste is good. If possible fix the menu also. We fixed lunch menu in advance .Fish fry and county chicken gravy is good . Try it for different experience.

Enjoyed my stay here with my family! The food was really good, rooms were clean and neat. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth paying a visit! :)
