Double Dutch Resort

A beautiful resort nestled in nature. Nothing commercial about it. Very homely. The portico overlooks the lake and is very relaxing. Lots of butterflies and birds. They have friendly dogs which accompany you to the walk to the lake. Food is basic local cuisine cooked by the local care takers. Get yourself mosquito repellent creams and you are good. The presence of mosquitoes couldn't be a problem of the resort. We had a very relaxing time here.

Kamarajar dam, 5km from athoor, which is about 15 km from Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, is an ideal place for a short getaway. the resort is on the banks of the reservoir of the dam, surrounded by pure nature, greenery, hills,birds and lots of fresh air. Balraj,Ramya and their team, who are taking care of the resort, showed excellent hospitality. the food was wholesome and palatable. The rooms in the main block (villa flamboyant) were spacious, neat and modest, though the presence of insects occasionally remind us that we,humans have encroached into their ecosystem and not the other way. Availability of hot water in the restroom was patchy but the food was served on time, every time. One can spend time reading,nature gazing, and long walks. The trek to the sadayndi temple involves 30 minutes of tough rocky path,uphill, and is only for those who are physically fit and have an adventurous streak in them.the Wi-Fi in the reception area helps pass time. Mobile network is scanty. Altogether,this is an ideal place to recharge.

We stayed here just for 1 night along with family and a pet dog, and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is located in a very beautiful location with awesome views. The view from the room is so relaxing and you forget the city stress. The staff was very friendly , courteous and helpful. We will definitely come back fora longer stay.

Most beautiful place we have ever met in life. Calm and quiet place. A nature lover can't leave the place. God's creation is made intact and nothing is artificial there. That's the beauty. Overall service is excellent. The hospitality is so good and they do take care of us as a family. So happy that we had a great time at the Resort. We will visit again...

I visited with my parents in January 2021. It is hard to describe the beauty of this place. The sights and sounds are soulful to say the least. The staff here treated us like family. The food was great. They have lovely dogs that would escort my parents on their morning walk. All in all, a great refreshing experience for a very reasonable price.

Offbeat location with great view. The staff were very friendly, rooms were comfortable. Best part was the food. Every dish they served was delicious. Highly recommend this place for group of friends or family who prefer a calm, beautiful stay. Most important - very poor mobile network here. So come prepared.

Nice isolated place for a good weekend getaway. Except for a small stretch of 200 meters of the road is not good. Otherwise good road leading to this resort. Very well mannered, courteous staffs. They prepare dishes according to your taste - both veg and non veg. Nice ambience. Colonial type rooms and lounge. Kamarajar dam is at stone throw distance. Even though there was no water at present, scenery and surroundings are good. Initially planned to stay in wild rock resort about 1 km away from this resort. But it was quite costly which was not worth its money. This resort gives more satisfaction and peacefulness. I strongly recommend this place

Stayed for a night and was such a peaceful stay. Special thanks to Paulraj and team for giving a homely feel which made us feel like family. Will remember the walk near the lake. Tip: Take a chair along if you want to watch the birds near the river.
