Over years, the Quality & taste has drastically reduced from ratings of Excellent to Good on taste, though they still stand as a good choice of the city for South Indian traditional foods

We were a group of 32 and had to stay in ambai for a week regarding work, and we are glad to choose 'hotel Gowri Shankar' for our accommodation. The owner and staff were very friendly, received us so well and the hospitality was too good, right from initial followup, to arranging timely and tasty food. We stayed in 12 ac rooms and all were good and affordable. If you're about to stay in ambai for a tenkasi or tirunelveli or agaisthiyar falls or manimutharu trip, this is a perfect spot, especially for groups /family. Note : this is a very genuine review.

One of the best hotels I have visited in the surrounding area of ambasamudram. The food was delicious and yummy.. The menu had many varieties of food. The servants were very kind and the waiting time was much little that we did not wait so long. No words to say about the quality and the quantity. The quantity was more than enough for an individual. I personally loved the food.

Today I have eaten my lunch at here ...very good service and the food was very tasty and fulfilled with reasonable price ...curd rice taste is awesome

Excellent south indian food, tasty and authentic taste. Recommend to try idlis, dosai with ellu podi. Snacks also good. But don't choose north indian varieties exclusive taste in south indian food.

I visited Gowri Shankar late at night, and even at that hour, the service was excellent. The food I ordered was served hot, with both great quality and generous portions. Highly satisfied with the overall experience!

Had loose motion after had pongal there. Coffee given there was with spoiled milk, so they replaced it.
