The Griffons Nest

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Griffon's Nest during my trip to Gangtok, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Tucked away from the city's hustle yet close enough to MG Marg, the hotel offers a perfect blend of peace, comfort, and accessibility. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with a charming decor that added to the homely vibe. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning--especially during early mornings with the mist rolling over the hills. What truly made the stay memorable was the hospitality. The staff was courteous, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. They even helped us plan local sightseeing and arranged transport when needed. Food at the hotel was simple but delicious, with a few local dishes on the menu that are definitely worth trying. Overall, The Griffon's Nest is a great value-for-money stay for anyone looking to explore Gangtok while enjoying a comfortable and serene environment. I would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers and would love to return someday! Rating: 5/5

Worst experience. We booked 3 rooms, there was no electricity, our phones were discharged, they didn't even started the generator even after multiple requests. Staff service was worst. We booked deluxe room for 3 persons in every room but was provided with a single double bed in each room. It was literally my worst experience of hotel booking.

Very cooperative and good staff. Service is very good. Specially Rahul will always attend your request with a smile. The manager is also very cooperative. Chef and Food is good. Though it's a bit away from MG Road but at the end of the day their service will compensate.View from the Deluxe Rooms is beautiful. Over all it was a comfortable stay and pleasant experience.

Every thing is okay but you will not get food as u want. Rooms are of very poor quality. TVs are out of plan . Tv don't work. But location is the best in this hotel. Staffs are not co-operative . Staff drink alcohol and don't provide good service.

The Griffon's Nest is a very cozy, clean and comfortable hotel located at 2nd mile ( upper Chandmari ) in Gangtok. Rooms are spacious, well furnished, clean and comfortable. Food service is par excellent. The staff is very humble, cooperative and caring. Location of the hotel is its strength. Situated at about 6000 feet, it provides nice view of the city. It's really a good, safe and so preferable choice especially for family stay in Gangtok.

We stayed here in 2018-19 for 10 days. We chose this hotel because it is away from the crowded Gangtok places. We enjoyed walking down the curves to the main market and return by taxi. The food is amazing, staff is very friendly. The owner requested us to cut the new year cake and all the staff members were present. The view from the terrace is amazing. When my husband planned to bring me here for my 50th birthday this year, we again chose this hotel. Everything is same, same good food, good staff, clean rooms, good wifi. Recommended for those who want to stay away from the crowd.

Rooms are very poorly managed. The whole room was dirty. The washrooms are unhygenic and it's full of insects. The staffs are very unfriendly and it's written 3 double bed for 4 person in online but gave us only one double bed. When we asked they said we can give you matresses. They said extra bed means matresses. Even though the view was fantastic from the window. It was so pretty to watch the clouds. View is very good. If you are just finding a room with a good view point you can try this. The hotel has a terrace garden which is also very nice. 3 stars only for the views. The food was very bad. It's tasteless. There is menu but 60% of the foods from the menu were not available
