Zostel Gangtok

Maintenance is quite low. The view of the city is nice. Narrow walking space around the rooms. The rooftop area islively but should maintain the cleanliness and hygiene. Rest zostel is fine here compare to other zostels

Not too bad not too shabby Compared to others zostel this one is definitely lacking in vibes. The beds are too soft for a good sleep. Breakfast and food options are poor. At a tourist location breakfast starts at 830 when for visiting most of the places you need to start earlier than that.. Rooms are clean and views are good.

I stayed there for three days. Exceptional ambience and a wonderful crowd. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. There is a spectacular view of the hills from the rooms and the cafe. The cafe is a great place to hangout, though items are on the pricier side. The ground floor common area is as good as it can get

Although this stay is a budget stay but was not worth the price. There were multiple problems, let me list a few; 1. Biggest issue is that this place does not have any power backup, which is the least that can be expected from any normal stay! 2. Wifi is worst, faced multiple problems with connectivity. Wifi didn't connect and even if it connects it was not working, had to sit in cold in common area for internet. A big no for people who are looking for staycation here. 3. Rooms are super cramped when compared to other hostels like hostllers which are way way better. 4. Charging sockets sometimes worked sometimes didn't. 5. Washroom windows were not closing at all, one has to sit there in cold 6. Lockers were too small, you cant even fit a medium sized trolly. Had to remove all the important belongings from trolly and put it in backpack to lock it. 7. There was no elevator so you will have to lift all your luggage to any floor you are assigned to. Pros: The only good about this stay is that it is in right location, very close to famous MG Marg Road.

The stay is good especially for low budget trips especially for students. You get bunk bed rooms, normal rooms. There are some shared spaces for other residents of the building. On the rooftop the view is amazing. You get the full view of the mountain alongside the valley of Gangtok. There is also a sitting space on the rooftop. There are games for playing like foosball, four in a line, table tennis, poker etc. There are also music instruments and speaker and projector screens for other amenities. You can chill there and spend your lazy day there. There is also a cafe there but it is a bit expensive. A more probable option would be a cafe run by an aunty 50-60 metres uphill. It's cost effective and be careful not to waste food or you would get a long scolding from her. Regarding other things the stay is good, definitely recommend it.

Zostel Gangtok has been a great choice we made. I would like to give a genuine feedback basis following points: Booking and Check-in: Obviously we booked online way in advance, with some amount of charges paid. Rest we paid while checking in. Check-in was smooth. The assisting lady at the counter was helpful in showing the right path towards Zostel while we were entering Gangtok. Our room was on first floor with Road-view. But it did not trouble us at all. Rooms : We, as a married couple, opted for a private room. The room was spacious enough, properly cleaned and well equipped. Nothing less than a decent hotel room. The bed was neatly arranged, a sanitary kit was present, along with clean water, and basically everything offered at a hotel. Food: this Zostel has a cafeteria on the top floor, which offers a small number of food options but the food is good. It is operational from 8:30 in the morning. Definitely not 24x7. The prices are reasonable and qty is good. Ample seating space and arrangement is available to seat and eat. The aloo paratha here was the softest I ever had. It was yum too! Chai was good. Baby corn chilly was a little salty but happens. Game area: so this is present with games like TT, carrom etc., beside the cafeteria. So diff people can eat and play side by side. This area gives a beautiful view to mountains. There's a good music system available, for playing the songs and also for singing!! There's one more area for seating in quite and silence is available on the ground floor beside the reception. Here one can have conversations or read, whatever they wish to. There's a water filter available for clean water and a common washroom on this floor. Service: So this we will divide in two parts. One for the cafeteria attendants/chefs/billers. They were smiling, prompt and good at their job. Second is the receptionist and the person who looks after the Zostel operations overall. The lady I mentioned earlier was good at her job but looks like works their for a short period of time. Cause we never saw her after the check in, as we were here for three days. The other guys who keeps running between floors, is rarely at the reception. We saw many people waiting for someone to come to the reception for a longer time many times while passing through whilst our stay.

I stayed at Zostel, and it was fantastic! The rooms were neat, clean, and comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was definitely the rooftop cafe--a perfect spot to chill with a great view and ambiance. The live music every night added so much to the experience, making evenings lively and enjoyable. Overall, it's an amazing place to stay, especially for solo travelers or anyone looking to meet new people in a fun, welcoming environment.

My experience with Zostel : I am leaving today and I am not understanding the mixed emotions I'm going through . Emotions of love, grief ,vibe ,travel , people , party . Zostel gave me life time of memories . Thank you ! I will miss you . And people , the hostel , specially Ms Priyanjali such a lovely lady she is .. I loved her . So helpful so kind
