I'm confused about the positive reviews of the hotel. It could be a very good hotel and looks OK on the very surface (from 50m) but it's not well cared for at all. Positives: bed very comfortable and room spacious. Staff reasonably friendly. Negatives: the first room I had was totally filthy throughout. They did change me to another one, which was a bit better. Hotel full of noisy groups. Restaurant area looks sad. Lower floors towards the pool area even worse. Pool area looks like sad 1990s kids play area and I would not swim in that water (and I'm not fussy usually). They never came into my room I think the whole stay despite putting room keeping light on. Location is 5/10 - a bit quieter than clogged up Gangtok but not at all suitable for solo traveller- need two shared taxis to town.

Other than rooms every other aspect is pathetic. Specially restaurant, don't eat here. They are bunch of looters. We paid more for food than our stay. Just to give an example they are charging 100 INR for a roasted papad which is double than what Ginger a Tata group hotel charges. Special mention about MD Harminder Singh and restaurant in charge Niraj they are clueless not answering anything Bad behaviour. Not willing to talk un responsive. I had to give 1 as minimum allowed otherwise service deserves a big 0. Don't waste your money. Ginger is nearby go there and stay peacefully

The staff behavior is wonderful and the view from the room is excellent. But the room service don't have food to offer at 10pm and the amenities which were mentioned online and what we actually received was really different. Except these two things everything was fine

The hotel and the behaviour of their staff is not acceptable at all. I realised the actual meaning of staying in a hotel when we left for Darjeeling and stayed in a Hotel, the actual concept and behaviour and hospitality of the staff is horrendous and we demand a refund . We were been told that the rooms are clean and there is buffet breakfast and dinner, but unfortunately we didn't receive anything as that sort. We had booked 2 rooms and our dinner and breakfast was already paid, but still they asked for extra charges for dishes we asked to prepare. That too it was only Momo's we asked for. 1st of all no buffet concept , saying its an off season, if so why do you accommodate people and and give them a pathetic service. The Manager Mr. SUJITH is a bigtime liar. Promised us alot of things but didn't give us anything. It was honestly a waste of time and money at this hotel. The staff are not professional at all and merely are student's of 12th or 10th grade. This behaviour and this kind of services are not acceptable at all. The staff does not understand anything we ask for .. if there's no buffet it's okay, but atleast provide us with basic food like milk n hot tea. The rooms , the bedsheets and the towels are not clean at all. Kindly carry your own thing's from your house if visiting this hotel.

spacious room, quite location, beautiful view of the valley from the view room; but all let down by the horrible service. Rooms are not properly cleaned, plumbing fixtures are aged and malfunctioning, filthy swimming pool, restaurant & bar barely running with handful of options. We even had a complete stop of water once during our stay. This hotel has got new owners under Staynest group and yet to settle in under new management. Has the potential to be a great hotel but should be avoided for now.

The room was good but I had to call 5 to 6 times to get a towel . The food was OK not that great The pool was really dirty and lots of leech. The most funny thing was we ordered some starter looking at the room menu but when the bill came we were charged double of what was the rate . We asked the front desk lady and she said that the room menu and the restaurant menu are different. So when you are ordering do confirm about the rates . Overall it's was a OK stay

Rooms need better level of maintenance, location has a little bit of restriction as far as local conveyance is concerned. Service is fantastic. Food needs better taste.

I stayed for three nights and don't understand the positive reviews. The first room I had was so dirty- never seen anything like it and had to spend time moving to another room. The new one was fine, but still hand prints on the shower screen and stains on towels. No apology. Hotel full of noisy groups (not really their fault but good to know), pool area so sad and old looking (not at all like photos) and very unclear on cleanliness. Staff mostly seemed confused and not particularly professional (a couple of exceptions). Totally not worth the money.
