The Nettle & Fern Hotel

The Hotel is excellent . We stayed here for 4 Days in April, 2025...We were allotted Room No 501, the view from the room was breathtaking, one side Gangtok City having an overview of Palzor Stadium and on the other side, beautiful Valley with a mesmerizing view of Mount Kanchenjungha... The hotel is in the development area which is 750 metres from MG Marg which is the only drawback as far as I'm concerned... The Rooms , The view from the restaurant and staff behaviour everything is top notch... I also like to mention Vishal Ji and Dhiren Ji for their courteous behaviour and helpful attitude... Please visit Nettle n Fern once to experience my words..

Staff was cooperative. Dhiren is helpful. Stay was comfortable. Their terrace rooms are awesome with Gangtok Views. No lift so mindful before booking. Breakfast need improvement. Very near to MG road.

This hotel surprised me completely. Where on one hand, service industry in India is going down the drain, there are places like this which keeps the hope alive. One of the best hotels I have been, and I have stayed in many hotels in India and Outside. This place is neat and clean, with almost all amenities of comfort, for an luxurious experience. Its a smoking allowed hotel, but you wont feel any smell even if you dont smoke. It is that clean and maintained. The view from the rooms and rooftop is mesmerising. The food options and taste is awesome. No doubt the cook must be as good as the place itself. The staff is so humble and helpful. The manager so soft-spoken. Just a little over a km from MG Road, this place has everything to enjoy a great holiday. Kudos to the staff. I will visit again.

Stayed at Terrace family room from 1st to 3rd may 2025. Excellent view, service and staffs. Would recommend to all, looking forward to staying again

Cozy and comfortable place in Gangtok city. Small hotel with clean rooms, easy check-in, cordial staff and a good restaurant. Room and food are decently priced. Taxis to MG Marg are available. Medicine shops around.

Stayed in family room, staff was helpful. Only improvement needed is in food quality. Ema dachi was not upto mark, peas pulao was more continental than Indian.

It's awesome. Rooms I stayed was a 3 bedded View suit room with private terrace. It's in the top floor. The view was excellent. Wooden floor and wall. Very well maintained. Small details were taken care of. Staffs are way better than helping. Very very nice. Breakfast was superb. Both in taste and quantity. The property has a small sitting area with fireplace supplied by newspaper and magazines. A restaurant with bar is there at the ground floor. There's a very cozy cafe beside which belongs to them I suppose. Overall I'll try to make sure to stay at this property again and again whenever I'll visit Gangtok. Thank you The Nettle and Fern for making my stay a memorable one. Caution: 1.This property doesn't have lift so be prepared to climb stairs. 2. Parking isn't available. However paid parking is available beside.

If you are looking for a staying place with the best view at reasonable price with free breakfast and well maintained rooms look no further. You can see kanchenjunga all day long form your room (top floor suite 500-504) even from the washroom. Only downside is no lift facility available.
