Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa

Hotel is okay to stay. we had bufet and it was okay. Taste wise decent. For a bufet options were less, more can be added to suit varied tastes. It's literally at 10mins walk from MG marg a good shopping area so that ways we felt comfortable as didn't have to take taxi. We could walk ourselves.

I had a wonderful stay at Summit Ttakshang Residency in Gangtok. The location is perfect--just a short walk from MG Marg, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The rooms were clean and cozy, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The staff was courteous and always ready to help. The in-house restaurant served some tasty local and Indian dishes. Definitely a great option for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Gangtok.

No one should venture this hotel. I booked the hotel after talking to the hotel manager who assured that if I wish to I can cancel my booking and get the refund. I booked one room but due to unavoidable circumstances I had to cancel the booking. I have cancelled as per the hotel's policy and the same has been acknowledged by email by the hotel as well furnishing the cancellation number. However, regarding the refund the mail says they will do so asap. Till date we have not received the refund and nobody seems to respond now. The number provided in the email is also fictitious. It should be evident from my narrative that the management of the hotel are swindlers. So do not venture this hotel. There services are likely to be similar.

I had an incredible stay at Summit Takshang Hotel and Spa! The hotel is well decorated inside, refreshing.The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, providing exceptional service throughout my stay.||The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to MG Marg. Overall, it was a great stay for me and my family.

Our third stayover at Summit group of hotels and as usual, impeccable service, convenient location and most polite and hospitable staff. The quality, taste and versatility of food was top of the shelf. There are no better pairing than Summit and Mountains

Really loved this calm, peaceful hotel in Gangtok. Its entrace is located on a hilly road, so that makes getting into the hotel quite different. The hotel staff welcomed us, gave us a welcome scarf and had overall great service. The room was also spacious, good interiors, good restaurant, and overall we enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended if you're in Gangtok.

We had good experience at the hotel during our stay. It has descent interiors, clean room, nice and cosy surrounding, good view from terrace. We got lucky and saw mount Kanchanganga from the terrace here during our stay. Keep eye on weather and you could get lucky as well! The food has some room for improvement although it was okay. There is children play area but it's in a very convoluted location which is difficult to locate. They have easy step based access to MG market which is handy. Their parking area is somewhat small which might create problem while coming or leaving.

Pros: Rooms are big with good views. Open common terrace was a good experience. Heater in the room with no extra cost. Spacious bed can accommodate 3 easily. Cose to MG marg. 2 sofas as well in the room. Cons : Since its a big reputed chain of hotels, there were some points that disappointed us. 1. The false ceiling was very unclean with a lot of visible dust and spider webs. Photo attached. 2. The toothbrush holder steel glass in the toilet was rusted. This is not expected as its a hygiene related use. Forgot to click photo. 3. The restaurant service was extremely slow with shortage of staff during peak season time. So much so that we decided not to eat at the restaurant again. 4. The restaurant menu is very very costly compared to similar or even better hotel chains. Eg : the prices at Grains restaurant which is part of Udaan hotel chain is almost 50% less costly and 200% better service and taste. Poha will cost you 290rs so you can imagine the rest. 5. 55 inch TV was great but no wifi connectivity on the tv was disappointing. Had to settle watching tv channels which almost nobody watches these days. 6. The mat outside the toilet was basically a cotton towel which has no friction on the wooden floor so was very slippery. Even the floor around the bed felt slippery but the staff said thats expected due to some chemicals used to maintain the wooden floor. But we were slipping on it multiple times and thankfully did not fall down anytime which would have impacted the vacation. Photo attached. It felt like it oil on the floor may be due to past customer had used the spa. We got a good deal on Agoda but had we paid the normal price of about 3.5-4k per night it would have been absolutely not worth it. Hence giving moderate stars.
