Garden Retreat Hotel

During our trip to Sikkim, we stayed at the Garden Retreat Hotel in Gangtok, and the experience was truly delightful. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-maintained it was. The ambiance exceeded our expectations, especially considering the reasonable price we paid. It felt like we got more than our money's worth, making it a fantastic value-for-money choice. The room came with all the necessary amenities, including water bottles, coffee/tea-making packages, and a clean and well-maintained washroom. The attention to cleanliness and detail added to our comfort throughout the stay. The service at the hotel was prompt and efficient. The staff at the reception communicated well and were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their assistance in providing local tips and guidance was invaluable during our trip. The only slight drawback was the location, as it is a bit away from the main city center. However, this turned out to be only a minor inconvenience because transportation was easily available, and the hotel is well-known among local drivers. This made commuting hassle-free and kept us connected to all the key attractions. Overall, Garden Retreat Hotel is a fantastic option for anyone visiting Gangtok. Its combination of comfort, excellent service, and affordability ensures a memorable stay. We highly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a pleasant and value-packed accommodation experience.

Very good and comfortable hotel. We stayed here for 2 days. The room service was very good and the food was delicious. The location is slightly far from the MG market, but you can get taxis easily.

The rooms are adequate, and the room service is somewhat satisfactory but falls short of expectations given the high cost. The pricing of the rooms feels steep and doesn't match their value. The food is disappointing, often lacking salt and any noticeable spices, resulting in bland dishes. The meals provided with the room package are particularly awful, with no flavor to speak of. The buffet service is subpar, and complaints go unresolved as staff fail to address or fix any issues. Additionally, there's no landline phone service available in the rooms. Additionally, it's worth noting that the staff eats their breakfast prior to serving customers, leaving no breakfast available for the customers afterward.

We had a stay here for 1 night. The rooms were average & there was dampness all over the hotel, toilets were neat & clean, all room amenities were there, Almirah handle was broken, TV was not working, room service was poor. The food was good. Also there was no lift & MG Marg is too far from the hotel. Overall it was an average experience.

The food was good , I didn't like the room , no ventilation. It's pa ked and claustrophobic .smelling like an old rug, no house keeping in 3 days stay they didn't manage to shift in another room nor provided any housekeeping to tidy. They claim near MG road but it's far from MG road .

Worst Hotel Experience of My Life I'm writing this review as a warning to others: stay far, far away from this hotel. My stay was an unmitigated disaster from check-in to check-out. Dirty and Unhygienic Rooms The room was filthy, with stained carpets, dirty sheets, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I found hair and dirt in the bed, and the towels were threadbare and smelled of mildew. Unfriendly and Unhelpful Staff The staff were completely uninterested in helping me with my issues. When I complained about the state of the room, they shrugged and told me that it was "fine." The front desk staff were surly and unhelpful, and seemed put off by my presence. Final Verdict Avoid this hotel at all costs. It's a dump, and you deserve better. Trust me, you won't regret staying somewhere else.

Booked my package through Bharat holidays. Worst deal i got from them. Cheaper hotels were booked after taking good amount . This Hotel is far from market , Food quality is good but you have to chase for your food. For 2-3 dishes also take more than 2hrs. Deluxe room doesn't give you that feeling. No Water at night and will be available only water tankers will come and get refilled.

At the price range you will get good, clean, spacious room. Room service is okay, can be better. Location is not good. You will have to pay a lot for transportation.
