The Montail Udaipur

Staying at Montel was a mixed experience. While the hotel has some good aspects, there were multiple drawbacks, as mentioned below. Good Points: - The food was amazing--we tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and everything was delicious. -The room service and staff were friendly and always available during their working hours. -The overall room interior was well-designed. -The rooftop restaurant, Parbat, was excellent. The night view from the rooftop was stunning, as the hotel is located close to the city yet in a peaceful area. It takes only a five-minute drive to reach the city center and Fateh Sagar Lake. Bad Points: -Despite the good interior, both rooms we booked had a bad odor upon entry. -The balcony appeared larger in the photos, but in reality, it was quite small--only two people could sit comfortably, leaving no space for a third. -The location is decent since it's away from the city, meaning no disturbance from traffic noise, yet close enough for easy access. However, the hotel lacks a scenic view during the daytime. The front faces a parking lot, and the back has empty plots. At night, the surroundings look better as the darkness highlights the mountains under the moonlight. -The swimming pool was not as clean as expected and was quite small, making it uncomfortable to enjoy as guests had to sit too close to each other. -The basement houses a bar and disco area with impressive lighting in the foyer, but the entire space had a strong unpleasant odor, likely due to infrequent use. I couldn't stay there for more than five minutes. -There was no information provided in the room about facility timings, such as pool hours or kitchen closing time. I tried calling room service at 1:00 AM, but there was no response. While it's understandable if room service isn't available at that time, the hotel should have someone to answer calls in case of emergencies. Final Verdict: Overall, my experience was mixed. The food was outstanding, and the staff was professional and friendly, but several negative aspects made it less than fully satisfactory. I would recommend this hotel to those looking for a quiet and relaxing stay away from the city's hustle. However, tourists with high expectations should either explore other options or clarify their checklist with the hotel before booking to avoid potential disappointments.

This place is a gem!! We were visiting for few days and booked this hotel for one night. Even though it's on the outskirts but the drive was totally worth it. We were greeted with great Hospitality, staff was polite, extremely attentive, took care of what we needed. The rooms are spacious and the balcony view in the evening is the best. Check in was a smooth process. Ms.Jaya from front office was very helpful in guiding about the city & tourist spots. This place is Definitely worth the visit.

Absolutely disappointing experience. The bath water was barely warm and felt disgusting--definitely not what you'd expect from a resort claiming to be high-end. As if that wasn't enough, the breakfast was completely tasteless. No flavor, no variety, just bland food that looked better than it tasted. For the price we paid, I expected basic comforts to be met. Would not recommend and definitely won't be coming back. !!

We had a mixed experience at the hotel. There are some positive as well as negative aspects. The best thing I liked that I had forgotten some of my stuffs inside the room cupboard, which the hotel had courierd me, and received all my stuffs. Hotel and rooms were clean. Food was good with limited options. Though we dint get our satisfactory room(superior room) because of Goibibo technical App problem, we had to stay in deluxe room which has parking view and outsiders can easily see through.

I really loved to stay at the hotel. Staff are very good. Nice comfortable clean rooms. Good tasty food. Hotel location is good. Just transportation to the city cost you as it is situated slightly outside the city. You can definitely come here.

Starting from the location that is bit far from city but it's a wonderful property. Nice architecture along with the modern facilities. Staff behaviour is also good. Front office staff was very supportive. Five star to the montail.

While I appreciated the staff's efforts to provide good service, there is room for improvement in the overall system to enhance the guest experience. Additionally, some aspects of the property didn't fully match the expectations set by the photos and descriptions.

Excellent service by staff and superb management. I will recommend this hotel over any other hotel at this price point . Even restaurant was excellent and nice service by devandra singh bhai.
