Shree Vilas Orchid - A Lake View Hotel Udaipur

We were girls traveller visited this place on our weekend getaway to Udaipur. The staff is very friendly and supportive. They provided us early check in. The view of pichola lake from this property is very serene. The rooms are comfy. Phones were not working buy they provided us cell numbers for any need to be addressed and were very attentive to all our needs. Since it is lake view property and most of the lakes are situated at old Udaipur, cab couldn't go to these places, so best conveyance channel is auto rickshaw. All in all it was a good experience.

FEEDBACK HOTEL SHREE VILAS ORCHID UDAIPUR- Thank you Hotel Shree Vilas Orchid for making our Senior Citizens Couples Group trip comfortable and enjoyable with 4 nights at your Hotel from 11 to 15 Jan25 .. ||||Cottages were comfortable and had good views of the Pichola lake and swimming pool. The staff was good and efficient and they did all to their best to make us comfortable including the Restaurant and Housekeeping Staff. The Lake facing location of the Hotel is very good and we did not mind parking our bus nearly 2 Km away and reach Hotel with our luggage through narrow lanes by Auto Scoooters efficiently provided by the Hotel.||||Swimming pool and Restaurant layout is good. Breakfast was very well laid out with an exhaustive and tasty menu. Mr Pradeep Kumar the FnB incharge could be seen very efficiently doing his job all throughout with a smile with his team which was highly appreciated by our Group members. ||||Word of appreciation for Mr Ritesh Sharma the GM and Mr Badal Sen the Front Desk Manager who were both very pleasant and efficiently ensured the comfort of our Group at all time.||||Well done Shree Vilas Orchid Hotel Udaipur. Please keep the great work going. We look forward to staying again at this Hotel. The approach to this hotel is through small balances wherein you cannot take your car, can only go by Auto. It is at the fag end of lake Pichola, all the rooms are lake facing...they have tent like rooms, they are spacious with big bathrooms and a big garden. The breakfast is average but the food is delicious. Very serene.

Initially I was very excited as the resort look like the same in the photos as we were expecting. We were convinced to give huge amount by seeing the photos as they were very attractive and beautiful. But trust me guys, when we arrived at the resort, my wife told me to book another hotel and took the amount as refund. As we had a 5 month baby, we were unable to shift to another hotel at such short period of time. The experience in the resort was very bad. The manager was very arrogant. The food was very costly. The swimming pool was full of dust and algae.They mention that the resort has four star but the facilities provided are not as per the criteria of even 3 star resort . The curtains are very dirty , tv was not in working condition, hot water are not available 24/7 hour .At last but not least the resort become desolate after 8 pm because there were no music and centre light which can cover the entire resort .

Shree Vilas Orchid offers a breathtaking lake view and a good Indian breakfast spread, which were the only highlights of my stay. The location is peaceful and ideal for relaxation. However, the hotel falls short in several basic amenities and maintenance, which is disappointing for a property claiming to be a 4-star hotel--a rating that feels completely misleading. Major Concerns: * Poor housekeeping - The cottages were not well-maintained, and the quilts and pillows seemed dirty. * Non-functional amenities - The TV in the room was not working, and there was no shower curtain, causing the entire bathroom to get wet after every use. * No WiFi - In today's time, this is a basic necessity, yet the hotel does not provide it. * Inconvenient room service - There was no in-house restaurant menu in the cottages, and the room phones were not working, forcing guests to rely on WhatsApp to contact reception. While the view and breakfast were enjoyable, the lack of proper housekeeping, broken amenities, and absence of essential services made the stay far from comfortable. Also their website also does not mention any of the details. Unless these issues are addressed, I would not recommend staying here. The hotel has potential, but calling it a 4-star property without these basic facilities is completely misleading.

Average size room for 2 people. They should have kept lights ON in their campus. All the lights were off during the night. We were scared to step out of our rooms. Breakfast was good. We recommend it for staying. Cabs dont go until the hotel . Take auto. Its very near to popular locations. Great place to watch sunset from resort is kitchen area

The location is amazing, BUT no amenities at all. There is no WiFi, TV in the room wasn't working, AC remote was not working, you have to call in advance for hot water and doesn't last for more than 40 mins till you have to call again, fridge was turned off from the switch even though they knew we were going to come in well in advance, the pool was dirty and we had to ask them to clean, the rooms have curtains for the roof so it brightens up during the day and you can do nothing about it, lizards entered the room because there isn't a concrete roof, there is no WiFi in the cottages, no microwave, no hand towels until you ask them to provide, blankets and pillows are old and the bed is spring which feels bad. A big one was that the intercoms do not work and they are aware of it so instead they ask you to call from your personal phone. This was true for both of my rooms I booked. Overall I would not stay here and it doesn't look like the photos at all. I would not call it a 4 star hotel as here in google but rather a 2 star hotel at best.
