Kankarwa Haveli

Family owned and operated - on site. Staff helpful and polite. A beautiful historic Haveli in an excellent location over looking Lake. Immediate walking to shops & restaurants in the old city, or dining upstairs on their rooftop with incredible views. I booked 6 rooms travelling as a group and the only feedback provided that was a negative is there was no room heater. Otherwise it was a very positive experience for our group of 11. I should add that we did not ask for heating as ample bedding was supplied. Rooms very clean, nicely maintained & decorated. A positive experience.

We booked a lake view room which was lovely. The hotel was in a very convenient location. Breakfast was good and was served on the roof terrace with great views over the lake. The staff were helpful but not as welcoming as other places we had stayed.

A great boutique Haveli by the waterfront in Udaipur||This is a really characterful old mansion in Lal Ghat super close to the palace and in the old town. The views from the terrace are breathtaking over the lake. The room was very characterful and the staff even produced a birthday cake when the event was mentioned

Great heritage hotel with an amazing view to the lake and a nice rooftop where you can get breakfast. Our room had a great lake-side view and a private terrace, great value for price. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

By far one of the most charming hotels I've ever stayed in. This little boutique hotel boasts the most amazing location on the lake with an internal courtyard and a fabulous terrace with outstanding views across the lake and the lake palace hotel I had a lake view room with a gorgeous seating area and a very comfy bed. I was told to put out at many of the eateries in the city but chose to eat in the hotel, on the terrace and I wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and with a view - priceless. The team is ultra-hospitable and genuinely care. This isn't a 5 star luxury hotel but as far as hotels that make you feel like home go, this one hits the spot I only wish I could have stayed longer.

I've seen a few people compare this place with Jagat Niwas next door which is not fair. That place is a commercial hotel and three times bigger whereas Kankarwa is a family home. We found the staff here, especially Harsh (probably spelt wrong) very helpful indeed and sorted transport to an animal charity outside the city and to the airport. Our room was clean and had a great view over the lake. We had hot water always and the WiFi, as explained at check in, is available in the common areas of the haveli, not the bedroom. Breakfast on the roof top was simple but totally ok. We stayed a Jagat several years ago and personally we preferred the quieter home feel of Kankarwa.

Great stay at this haveli. Rooms pretty basic and not sparkling clean but comfortable. Spectacular lake views from the terrace and from our "penthouse" room - worth staying there just for those! Breakfast is basic but the thali dinner was delicious. Not for you if you can't climb stairs

My BFF took me for a vacation and I bow to her choice of hotel! Kankarwa Haveli takes you back to the Kingdom Era. They have kept it as natural as possible & have maintained the rustic look. The view from the room is therapy! The food, service, staff & management are very polite & helpful. The rooftop dining area overlooks the beautiful & serene lake & you just can't have enough of it!
