POSITIVES: |1) Design: The hotel really is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Every corner is photo-worthy. It is very peaceful and a beautiful place to stay.||2) Location: The location on the water is stunning and views from all levels out on the water were amazing. It's close to the centre of the old town (5 min walk to the city palace) but peaceful at the same time. Just a heads up though - the streets in the old town are very narrow so you can only get a Tuk Tuk to the hotel, not a taxi.||3) Food: Food at breakfast and the restaurant was delicious. Really good evening menu, great cocktails and the ice is safe for westerners to drink. ||4) Communal spaces: The hotel has a lot of great communal spaces, including some beautiful window seats with views right on the water. The perfect place to read and watch the world go by. ||5) Comfort: Room was a good size with good furniture, storage, and a nice and large bathroom. The toiletries provided were extensive and high quality.|||NEGATIVES:|1) Light in room: There was a little window high in our room which didn't have a blind and meant morning and night our room was very bright. ||2) Noise: Our room was on the ground floor right on the courtyard and it was quite noisy, both in the morning but also at nighttime. ||3) Business: Due to the incredible location/views the hotel was constantly full of people posing for photos which was slightly irritating. I'm not sure if anyone can wander in but I got the impression that some of them weren't guests at the hotel or dining either. ||4) Hot water: Hot water in the shower isn't unlimited so you can't have 2 medium length showers back to back without the water running cold. ||5) Onconsistent restaurant service: We ate in the restaurant both nights. One night we had good service but the other we had terrible service. We were unnecessarily sat in the back corner with no light, the table wasn't laid properly so we had to ask for cutlery when our food came, we were only given one menu (for 2 people), and our order wasn't taken for a long time. Not what you expect for a fairly expensive restaurant... The next night though, the service was great? ||6) Breakfast service: Service at breakfast was also mixed: our first morning we weren't greeted so just took a table and found our own way around, and weren't offered / didnt know we could order coffees/teas/freshly cooked items but the second morning we were offered a menu for these, so I assume that's how the service was meant to be. The inconsistent service was disappointing. |||OVERALL: Udaipur is stunning and this is a very beautiful hotel in a great location. I'm nitpicking because for the price we were expecting a slightly better experience, but I would recommend booking here as it's worth the experience.

Wow! We were rather late booking so there were no more rooms with lake view available but I found it not even necessary to have a lake view from the hotel room. The view from the roof top is amazing during daytime and nighttime. The building itself is so authentic and well maintained. Had a lovely dip in the pool too. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is also great: enjoy some good food with the most amazing views. Small suggestion: reserve a table during high season or the weekend. Minor -: the food is to local standards rather EUEUEU
This was our first stop and we were astounded by the beauty of this place! We had a stunning room overlooking the lake .||The restaurant is roof top and mostly we were seated overlooking the lake---magical!|The food is excellent! And so is the service. We felt very much at home.||We explored locally with the help of a driver/guide Anand. He was great and also took us further afield. ||We loved this area and would love to return!|Thank you to all the staff especially the coffee deliverer and yes we did see tigers!!
We had a lovely experience and a fantastic stay at this hotel. From start to finish, the service was truly exceptional. A special shoutout to Dinesh, who was absolutely wonderful--professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, from our meals and drinks to our overall comfort during the stay. His warm hospitality truly made a lasting impression and elevated our experience. We're so grateful for his excellent service and can't wait to return!
It was a spendid experience during our stay here. We had the luxury suite with the lake facing view and had an amazing experience. It is a beautiful property with mesmerising view located just at the lakeside of lake pichola. The services from the staff was extremely delightful with Mr Dinesh always assisting us with our expectations. When you want to have a good stay with just perfect ambience, the perfect view and just ample leisure time to relax this is the go to place in Udaipur always with the City Palace being in your just next neighbourhood.
A Heritage style hotel, arranged around a courtyard. Great views of the lake from the first floor and rooftop. Good bedroom, clean and comfortable, worth paying extra for the lake view. This is all let down by constant non-staying visitors seemingly taking hundreds of photos on their phones, and a very mediocre breakfast. We'd stay elsewhere if we returned. Cars cannot reach this hotel; you need to transfer to a tuktuk on the city's edge.
I was staying at this amazing hotel for 2 nights and can only recommend it! The views are awesome and the hotel itself is a gem, making it a popular spot for selfies the decor is unique and each and every room has its own unique style. I also want to mention the excellent service and management, who helped with many small questions for shopping etc. Also, I truly loved the location as it is walking distance to the charming old city of Udaipur. So, all together it's been an excellent stay which I will always remember.
It is the most aesthetic property I have ever seen. Your udaipur trip is incomplete if you don't visit this. It is a hotel along with a roof top cafe. This place is super beautiful and offers one of the best sunsets along with a lake view. It is recommended to visit around sunset. But the food tastes average and over priced; the quantity of food is very very less. One of the staff was very rude and they won't allow you to sit at table even they are empty.only one Waiter behaviour was very bad and unprofessional. We ordered cold coffee which was average, virgin pina colada not at all recommended very thin just gave me real packaged pineapple juice with little taste of coconut, The pasta quantity was less than a small bowl, with average taste and the price was 600. But still it is recommended for the best sunset experience and good photos. Located near gangaur ghat 5 min walk.
