The Oberoi Vanyavilas Wildlife Resort, Ranthambore

I can only repeat what other guests have said about this wonderful place. From the warm and personal welcome by Ratna to the serenity and beauty of the grounds, everything was wonderful. Our luxury tent was a great size with pleasant outdoor seating area, beautifully furnished and a huge comfy bed.|We ate meals in the hotel and they were all delicious and catered well for my gluten allergy. We stayed in a few Oberoi hotels on the trip and in my opinion this offers the best food with a great selection of delicious fresh dishes. Service was impeccable from everyone and there is a real feeling of warmth about the place. We did three safaris and saw tigers and many other animals. Sunrise is definitely the best and most exhilarating time to go. We arranged this through Trailfinders and the private guides were excellent and worth being on a jeep of just four people. The pool area is smallish but very pretty, a walk round the grounds up the tower and time to relax and enjoy this haven is a must. Sadly we didn't do the star gazing, maybe next time!!

This hotel really is perfection. From the wonderful welcome by Ratna, the General Manager to the staff waving goodbye to us our entire stay was faultless. ||Every member of staff is kind, helpful and professional. The grounds are immaculate, the tents, pure luxury with beds that are like sleeping on a cloud and goose feather pillows., but they have a pillow menu too.||The little personal touches, such as an anniversary message made out of petals outside our tent, through to our leaving present we're all so appreciated.||The food is very good, as is the service, any dietary requirements are fulfilled and the staff bring additional dishes for you to try. ||The signature massage was superb, the spa is small but calming after a day of tiger spotting.||The Tiger talk on arrival is a must as is the star gazing experience at the top of the tower.||We were very lucky to see four tigers in zine 4 on our first morning but after that saw none at all. In fact we had four safaris booked but cancelled our last ( we had already paid for it) because we wanted to enjoy the grounds of the hotel instead and that is when I had my massage. ||We would love to return to this wonderful hotel, not to do another safari but purely because it really is heaven on earth.

A truly exceptional hotel with amazing staff. The GM Ratna is a wonderful lady who enhances your experience and the team that work with her leave no stone unturned in ensuring your stay is memorable. The luxury tented accommodation is beautiful, spacious and gives you privacy in which to relax. Outstanding food and the tiger viewing experience was simply incredible. Our guide Danesh was brilliant. We cannot wait to return to the best hotel I have ever stayed at.

Excellent staff, wonderful accommodation and excellent food. Rarely is there nothing wrong but on this occasion I can't say there was anything which could be improved upon. Truly lovely. Would definitely go back. All the staff are very attentive without being "in your face".

One of 5 Oberoi hotels stayed at during our 'Golden Triangle' tour. As we found throughout all 5 Oberoi hotels the exceptionally well trained and attentive staff with their own personalities. All gardens, structures and amenities exceptionally well maintained. The 'Luxury Tent' (with solid walls) in a private garden gave a feeling of being in a nature reserve in a tent under canvas yet with luxury furniture and facilities providing a themed and an ideal start for our planned 2 safaris into the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. Evening dining, entertainment and quality of food made memorable evenings. The Observation tower provides excellent views of the hotel grounds and natural countryside. Once climbed to the top -forgot your water bottle? -no problem --there is a fridge up there with complementary cold-water bottles! Seamless service from welcome on arrival to departing. ||A private open jeep (with official driver and guide) is a great way to experience the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve -early morning just after sunrise being an ideal time for chances of seeing a wild Tiger.

Beautiful property, excellent service, fine dining.||From the moment we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us and looked after our every need....from breakfast before our safaris to cold drinks upon our return. Expert naturalists explained the wildlife and their habitat. We relaxed in the evening over dinner in the lovely outdoor dining courtyard then strolled back to our luxury tent. It was a truly memorable experience.
