Sambhar Heritage Resort

It was awesome experience to visit and stay at this resort. I was enjoyed to look flamingos over here. Quality of food and other services were also so good. I recommend everyone to visit such a nice natural place.

Went for a day trip of the Sambhar lake and it was lunch time. Decided to check out the restaurant at Sambhar Heritage Resort - who also manage the Train tour of the Salt Lake. We were welcomed by Mr Goverdhan Banjara and he guided us to the restaurant, which had a retro ambience .. with vintage looking ceiling fans, tumbler switches and thick walls.. We picked the Almond Basil soup and it was lovely - with some chunks of garlic and almond and a creamy base of almond, the soup was enjoyed by all. The yellow dal, aloo zeera and kurkure bhindi were unique with its simplicity and perfection.. So good that our parents enquired for the Chef and we met Mr Narsingh Banjara and conveyed our appreciation..

I intend to give a 3.5 star. It is all inclusive hotel which includes breakfast and dinner. I ordered noodles for dinner and it was better than expected. The breakfast is so so. The hotel is isolated. There is really nothing to do. The cottage is simple and spacious, but a bit out of maintenance. The staff are friendly and helpful. Service is good.

It's an upmarket resort offering the best views of Sambhar Salt Lake. The tented rooms are well furnished and comfortable. The washroom is well designed. Luggage racks, almirah, writing table & chair, easy chairs are provided in the room. The bed was comfortable. The sit-out is the icing on the cake. The food was good and service was efficient. Ample parking available. The road from entry gate to the resort was in a bad shape and needs to be done up urgently.

We stopped here just to have lunch. Extremely expensive restaurant for below average veg food. We just had plain rice, daal and alu jeera and 2 cans of Sprite and a bottle of water for which they charged us 1180 rupees which was insane. The quantity of rice was not even enough for 1 kid. And in the name of green salad they gave us just onion and 2 slices of green chillies. Can't talk about rooms and all as we didn't stay there but they will definitely rob you if you go for food here.

One of the best place for family outing, Staff are very supportive and friendly.

If one enjoys exploring places off the beaten track a bit, Sambhar will be an interesting place to stop off on your trip. |The food was absolutely delicious and the staff all very friendly- in particular the man who served us meals during our stay, who we are grateful to. He even brought us soup and desserts to our tent to enjoy, without being prompted. ||The rooms are clean, simple and nicely decorated. The views are good, but the tents are on the other side of the railway to the lake so not built right onto the lake. We were there in dry season so I'm sure the views are slightly more impressive when there is water. ||The tents are built with a view of the salt lake which has an interesting history. We enjoyed the bike ride and were able to go for a run around the lake which we liked. |It was a peaceful stay, and we got to visit a neighbouring village and a nearby temple which was interesting to experience in the relatively remote location.

Excellent experience! I don't think there's any place more beautiful or more serene than this place. It is beyond the description in words. The route to this resort is quite adventurous and in the country, which is why the resort helps you reach there safely. The hospitality is great. They take very good care of you, and are extremely polite. The food is extremely tasty, like the one in a good restaurant. For some it is expensive but it is worth much more than they are charging. Also, one thing I would to mention here; I forgot some valuables in my room but the staff was decent enough to send me the courier of the same. Thank you very much.
