Chandra Hill Resort

Overpriced and poor food! I would suggest any tour operators that take their guests here stop if they wish to maintain their credibility. 5 weeks in India and this was without doubt the worst rip off. Owners should be ashamed.

Chandra Hill Resort is an embodiment of everything that's wrong with tourism in India. I'm Indian, and my partner is American. The tour guide driver brought us here, presumably because they get kickbacks from these tourist trap restaurants. The moment we walked in, we realised it was a setup. A few tables were laid out and all of them were solely brimming with foreigners. Also, there were like a million flies buzzing on all the tables. We absolutely detested it. That's one way to ruin the appetite. The food was quite overpriced. Ugh. Each dish was supremely overpriced. We decided to not get scammed totally, and ordered vegetarian sandwiches and samosas--like it can't get any worse, right? We were wrong. The sandwich was the most bland and sad sandwich we've ever tasted. We just had one bite and were done. The Samosas were equally bland. It just felt like they just reheated some food lying around and served it to us on plates. India is a great country. I grew up here, and it made me who I am. But scams like Chanda Hill Resort make me realise how much progress we still need to make in the areas of tourism, and treating others right. White people colonised us, but that doesn't mean we need to take revenge in every way possible. I get that they need to make money to survive, but they should at least provide good food for the money they charge. Just 10 words to conclude my review: Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Their restaurant come with outdoor or indoor with ac, environment is clean, and there are lot of tourist come to this restaurant. For their food, it just ok, not a great one, but at least it's clean. It's not cheap around here, but consider they have a clean restaurant, so still give them a go

Stopped by for a quick lunch, and it was a decent experience overall. The food was tasty, though nothing extraordinary, and the service was at a basic , efficient . A good spot if you're in a hurry and looking for simple, satisfying meals without frills.

Simple yet elegant hotel. It has a heritage look to it. Parking area is big. surrounded by lush green forest. there was a lizard in our room, but the staff were understanding and made sure that our room was pest free. Rooms are spacious with heritage look. Yet it has all the modern amenities. We did not have any meals here. Bed was big and can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. It is a wonderful stay option if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, calm and relaxing environment. In the morning, we opened both the windows in the room. We could actually feel the morning freshness along with various bird's humming sound. Would love to visit again.

I'm reviewing the restaurant as I didn't spend any night in the place. Food was mediocre compared to any restaurant we've been eating in India, plus the staff is very pushy. I didn't even manage to use the toilet properly as there was a man behind waiting for me to finish so he could open the water for me to wash my hands. They expect a tip for anything, but thanks, I'm able to open the faucet by myself and wash my hands. Stressy.

As mentioned in all other reviews this is a tourist trap as pure as they get. Your driver will bring you here and the restaurant will serve you reheated food and charge you beyond reasonable prices. They will even aim to charge you extra for the food for your driver. Avoid this place.

I did not stay here ... but been here for a lunch based on the recommendation of my cab driver .... Had a very bad experience ... everything was very overpriced ... quality was pathetic .... Saw many cab drivers getting many local and foreign tourists here ..... I guess the cab drivers might be getting some sort of commissions .... Definitely rely not recommending this one
