Brij at Lakshman Sagar gave us a beautiful unique experience that we cannot recommend highly enough. A combination of absolute luxury, while also prioritizing sustainability, nature and a 'farm to table' approach, this place should be at the top of your list when planning a visit to Rajasthan. For us it was an oasis in the middle of a busy trip. The staff went above and beyond to give us the best experience, from sundowners on the high rocks, to a beautiful candlelit secluded dinner and a wide range of activities, not to mention the swimming pool and private plunge pool. The food was truly outstanding- you must taste it to believe it- all grown on the farm and prepared by talented chef Johany. The attention to detail in the rooms was second to none, and the background noise of peacocks going about their business was charming. Sarthak, Jai, Nakul and the whole team were wonderful-we didn't want to leave!

What a wonderful hotel! Everything's perfect from the check-in to the moment you (do not want to) leave: (only) 12 spacious, very well-equipped cottages located around the lake, where you can relax in your private plunge pool and/or watch hundreds of birds from colourful kingfishers to beautiful peacocks; a beautiful pool, a great rooftop bar and tasty food in the little restaurant. |And the birdwatching trip to a nearby dam was also an excellent experience. |Just be aware of the bees that were very aggressive when we were there

Staying IN the Aravallis had been a dream for ages, and I was excited to do this at Brij Lakshman Sagar.|The stunning location isn't captured well in promotional material - it is gorgeous. The pressed earth villas are beautifully designed and decorated, and afford privacy and peace. The communal buildings are simple and tasteful.|We enjoyed breakfast and dinner, and the food was good quality. There are charming free add-ons such as afternoon tea and bonfire, star gazing and a short nature walk. But it is pricey accommodation, which rules it out for some travellers. We stayed only one night, but I would have stayed longer to enjoy the unique setting.|The staff were terrific - professional and friendly. We felt most comfortable.|Note, there are many stairs to navigate, so NOT an option for those with mobility issues. We found charging devices a bit tricky with a few electrics glitches (and couldn't find a hair dryer). But BLS is a sustainable property, and we minimised our footprint for our short stay.|Overall it was more than a tick on the bucket list - I'd give it a star. Thanks to all.

We visited in early Jan when it was pretty cold. We stayed for 4 nights. The place is an Instagrammer's dream...so picturesque... barren as well as green in places, a lake, peacocks running around! Not to mention the pool which was out of the world.||The staff is very friendly and caring. The food is fantastic- we tried rajasthan fare every single day.||There were trips around the property to the sunset point, then to a fort in ruins... a couple of breakfasts were served in their veggie garden.||There are only 12 cottages in this huge property. The cottages have everything u need and r very pretty. We got the farthest ones which meant we had beautiful walks before and after every meal.||In all simply 5 stars

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights en-route between Jodhpur and Udaipur, during a 16 day 'Golden Triangle' trip. It provided a perfect relaxing break from the frenetic experiences of the cities and sights of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan. We were very well attended to at the Brij Lakshman by Jai and Pooja, and thoroughly enjoyed a morning yoga session with Amul, the dawn nature walk with Saarthak and the cooking class and spice making demonstration. Our cottage, No. 12, was beautiful, and located in an especially remote spot with a picturesque view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and must say that Mr Singh runs a very efficient operation.

You can see from the Trip Advisor website that this resort regularly receives 5 star reviews. Quite rightly so. |We have been travelling around Rajasthan for 18 days and the contrast between the hustle and bustle of the cities and this amazingly beautiful and tranquil setting is sublime. |You can relax in a stunning environment surrounded by beautiful natural history. The lake and wild birds are breathtaking. |The lodges are beautiful but you can occasionally get an 'extra' guest pass by. Small local squirrels and door mice might want to check out the visitors. ||The staff are friendly, diligent and multitalented. The vegetables are delicious and mostly grown on site. ||The food is delicious ||Special thanks to Dilip, Pooja, Tanya, Rai and Davindra. ||This is a great example of developing eco-tourism in this spectacular country

This trip is probably one of the best vacations I ever had.. what a beautiful beautiful room...there is nothing better then being in solitude but with all the luxuries you can imagine. The plunge pool in the room is heavenly and the outdoor pool is out of this world. Whether it's Pooja, Nakul, Dilip singh, jai or Tanya.. they just make you feel so much at ease... ||This trip would not be complete without mentioning a very special soul..their in house flutist...may be I will just go there again to just listen to his flute.||The food is good but on the costlier side but that is given considering you are having the best food in probably the dreamiest of locations..||Will I come back with my wife again : count me in.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful vacation at Brij Lakshman Sagar, which we discovered through Small Luxury Hotels while choosing between this and a property in Jawai. I've always admired Rajasthan's hospitality and wanted to experience it with my husband--Brij was the perfect choice.||We stayed for two nights and enjoyed a range of unique activities: a sunrise trek, breakfast with locals, high tea atop a rock at sunset, stargazing, and spice mixing--all meticulously organized by a thoughtful team. Special thanks to Pooja, who ensured our trek arrangements were flawless.||A truly memorable moment was watching the sunrise and sunset with a cup of chai on a beautifully arranged mattress, complete with snacks. I've never felt so special!||The food was fresh and flavorful; every dish was amazing, especially the gatta curry--a must-try. The rooms combined rustic charm with modern amenities, evoking the feel of a village. Although the plunge pool was a bit disappointing--too shallow and often dirty--the abundance of peacocks roaming outside added a magical touch.||Another highlight was the stargazing session with Sarthak. His deep knowledge made the experience even more captivating as we learned so much about the night sky.||Overall, Brij Lakshman Sagar exudes a peaceful, enchanting atmosphere that welcomes you from the moment you arrive.
