Hotel Bharatpur Palace

We visited this hotel during the Pushkar fair so it was really busy in the city. Staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful. Bedroom is cute, bathroom a bit small, especially toilet area. Best feature of the hotel is the terrace. This has a great view over the lake. Food at the hotel was good. Location close to a shopping area.|Only negative is the public toilet in front of the hotel. Be careful were you walk!

The best part about this stay was how incredibly helpful Meena was for us. She gave us a lot of tips for navigating pushkar and walking the ghats and what to look out for and avoid. Her hospitality was incredible and everything she shared with us was so helpful and we are very grateful.||The hotel offers beautiful views of the lake that it seems you can't get elsewhere from accomodation in pushkar and it was beautiful to have dinner and breakfast overlooking the lake and some day bed chairs set up throughout the hotel that overlook the lake is really lovely.||I think maybe it matters what room you get in this hotel. We were in room number 8 and it was noisy all throughout the night from both sides as the room has windows on both sides (we had them closed but still very noisy - it is right in the markets and right on the ghats so is not the fault of the hotel - I am just writing this so know what to expect). I'm sure ear plugs would fix the issue. It probably didn't help that I was quite sick and couldn't wear my ear plugs due to having ear aches. ||Overall this hotel offers seriously affordable pricing, you feel safe in the hotel (Meena warned off some people who were trying to take photos with myself & my husband just outside the hotel - seriously Meena is great!), the location is central so you can walk the markets from just outside your door which conveniently takes away the need for Tuktuks or drivers which can be more expensive in Pushkar than other places, it is right on the lake with the ghats that you can watch from the various viewpoints throughout the hotel offering a unique experience of observing without having to be in the action, having the restaurant upstairs is great and convenient with a a wonderful server up there too which is worthy of noting how wonderful his hospitality was.||We would come back however would advise of our needs for the room we'd need beforehand. I think there's a good chance we just got unlucky and got one of the noisiest rooms due to it being positioned between both sides of the streets and also lake. It must be a different experience in other rooms given other reviews I've read about sound and sleep so maybe just enquire about this when booking!!!

Wonderful stay and superb hotel. The views are peaceful and full of terraces. The paint work throughout is exquisite. The brother and sister running the place are really lovely and very much dedicated to their work. I'd highly recommend it to anyone coming to the city and can easily believe they get return customers, especially as they offer a series of activities as well.

Excellent affordable place to stay in Pushkar. Rooms are spacious and hand painted walls add a unique charm. The hotel is in a renovated haveli right on the ghat, with excellent views of the lake from the terrace. Only issue is a smelly public toilet at the entrance of the lane that leads to the hotel gate. However, there is another better entrance from the ghat side which we used exclusively (there are a few stairs though). The in-house restaurant is expensive compared to others in the area, and unfortunately the food is not that great - we only ate there once. We had no issues with service, etc. A bit noisy surroundings - dogs on the ghats, music late in the night from weddings, etc. but that's true for any place in Pushkar. Overall a great place to stay in Pushkar, highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay here, the owners are very friendly and hospitable, room was large, clean and comfortable, loved the painting and the hanging chair too. The hotel is in a great location with amazing view of the lake and mountains. Several services and facilities offered here. The roof top restaurant had great food and drinks (esp the coffee shakes with ice cream!) and we went there daily. Meena (owner) gave us maps and advice about Pushkar, what to see and helpful tips. A wonderful stay!

Hard not to gate keep this one, but Meena and Dilip deserve the best reviews. They are so helpful. This beautiful hotel used to be a palace - it's in the best location right on the lake in Pushkar. It's in the main bazar street - I'll definitely be coming back. Marg from Australia

When I booked Bharatpur palace hotel for Rs 5,900 and two double rooms with a private bathroom, they asked for my card details. Later the cost was deducted from my account BUT the booking was shown for two double rooms with shared bathroom. When called the person who would not identify himself claimed that the mistake was mine but that he would rebook two double rooms with two private bathrooms at the same cost. However, he has not notified me of any change and the site still shows it as shared bathrooms. When I called he said that I was illiterate and " anpadh" and that he too would lodge an FIR against me if I raised a complaint. Is this the fabled hospitality of Rajasthan? Is this the way to tragedy a customer. Till this moment there is no change in the booking! Still showing shared bathroom

Great ambience with traditional Rajasthani setting in the rooms. It was very beautiful. At walking distance from Brahmaji mandir. Cherry on the cake was the view of the Pushkar lake from the veranda. To top it all, it is located right on the ghat itself!!!
