Heli Pushkar

This charming, small resort offered a beautiful and tranquil escape at the end of our Rajasthan trip. Nestled near an irrigation canal, it felt surprisingly secluded despite its proximity to Pushkar's city center and markets. The lush grounds, filled with mature fruit trees, roses, and vegetable gardens, created a peaceful atmosphere. Our tent with a private pool, their premier accommodation, was a delightful experience. One thing to note is that the property is located across an event center and it was extremely loud during our entire stay. However, the beauty of the property and our room was significantly overshadowed by the subpar service, food, and overall management. From the moment we arrived, the managers seemed disengaged, more interested in their devices than welcoming guests. This lack of attention permeated the entire staff, affecting everything from room service to meal quality. Simple requests, like extra coffee creamers, were met with reminders of arbitrary limits (two per day!), and we were never asked if we needed room cleaning or fresh towels. Even more disappointing was the stale cooked rice served by the kitchen. It's clear this resort has tremendous potential, but it's currently a case of missed opportunities. If you prioritize aesthetics and plan to dine elsewhere and manage your own basic needs while exploring the city, this could be a suitable option. However, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway with attentive service and good food, I would strongly recommend considering other accommodations. This resort, in its current state, simply doesn't deliver on the fundamental expectations of hospitality.

Staff were courteous and friendly, and room excellent. The whole place was clean and tidy. It was nice sitting in dappled sunlight, in the shade of a tree for breakfast. Hotel is about 800 metres easy walk from the lake, at centre of town. Good value for money.

Lovely family bungalows with friendly staff and great roof terrace.Good choice of food and Lakesh the chef was very accommodating. |Negatives- no pool on site but advertises one?? Web site shows pictures of a pool, so don't book expecting this to be there.|Also wedding season so loud music & fireworks every night (December) Also rooms very cold at night, so ask for extra blankets. |Would recommend as good location & friendly

Really nice experience at Heli. Raj who works here was a great help, when my boyfriend got sick late at night. The rooms were good, and the surroundings was cozy. The food was cheap, but also a bit cold when we got it. We would recommend staying here.

Pretty good. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. I was glad I was only here one night though, the complimentary breakfast was not good. Every table left most of theirs. Improve that and it would be full marks from me

I had booked at their other property, Kothi Pushkar, and spent one night there just post-NYE. Because I am such a light sleeper and always early to bed, I didn't sleep much. When I mentioned this, I was effortlessly shifted to this property, Heli Pushkar, and given a lovely courtyard room amongst the amla trees. The room and bathroom are spotless and well-equipped and the room has a kettle for this coffee addict who travels with an Aeropress :)|It's rare to find a guesthouse where everyone is so accommodating, kind and friendly -- both Kothi Pushkar and Heli Pushkar has only this kind of person working there, so I was well looked after and I felt comfortable and content enough to stay a week. With breakfast included, I always have an issue with my purely plant-based, gluten-free diet that also excludes white rice ... not an issue at all at Heli Pushkar as the staff prepared a delicious spicy dhal for me each morning to pack in the protein after my long runs.|Most people pass through Rajasthani towns in a day or two but I feel the benefit of staying longer is in being able to find favourite places to visit and have time to relax in between ... which is also the benefit of staying at a place like this away from the hustle and bustle. A real re-treat.|All the temples, sightseeing and markets are within walking distance (or super close by auto if that's more your vibe) and staying longer means I have been able to go for morning runs, sunrise and sunset temple and ghat visits, and small daily doses of the busy market and shopping areas.|I highly recommend staying here for a few days to take it all in before moving on. It's even a great place to come and work for a week or two.

Really wonderful gem of a place with beautiful architecture and interesting, nature oriented design features. Spotless rooms and bathrooms--the best I've seen in India! Breakfast in the morning was tasty and they served some delicious fresh juices. The resort is across the street from a wedding hotel so there was some loud music, but it died down before midnight. I would absolutely stay again!

The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking mountain views that add so much serenity to the experience. The tents were very comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. It's the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway!"
